As have mine. The only way to play my battery-drained copy of Gold is to fire up my Game Boy Player and just leave it on (which is not the best way to play), so I am also incredibly psyched to go back to Johto.

Shiny's didn't come around til Gold and Silver? How'd you get the electrode in yellow. I have never encountered one in about 350-400 hours played spanning from Silver to Platinum
I got two in Ruby, some electric dog-like lizard thing and a wingull.
