I'm surprised at the hate for Drawn to Life, but if you're not good at drawing I suppose it wouldn't be much fun

I bought Contact a while ago - a magazine claiming it to be the new EarthBound.

Oh, so that's why Adam likes that game so much...I was wondering what made it so special. Now I know.

Hey, I'm an Earthbound fan, and I can tell you, Contact is no Earthbound. It's no very good game, either. Didn't bother to go very far in after the first few hours stunk.

@Kid_A: drawing skill doesn't matter with that game... for me, the problem was that it was flat-out boring. There is no freedom as to what you may or may not design yourself -- you literally walk into some levels and are thrust repeatedly into designing platforms or elements when you just want to play the darn level already. Also, certain things I thought would be most fun (i think i remember a submarine and/or an airplane or a rocket on that list) turned out to be the most annoying because they had an enforced shape that could not be altered (i couldn't make the submarine into an octopus, for example).

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, The menus where too complicated to navigate and the WIFI comunication sucked ( by this I mean speaking to each other was a huge hassle, you had to go through a million menus to get to sections that had pre- writen messages like hey! and this way! ) also the custimization lacked (no skin tone changes) and quests were repetitive and boring. Also, its is VERY hard to figure out if you were standing on something, or standing next to it, same for something you were holding. Some times when you had a party and items got dropped by a defeated enemy, you would mistakenly pick up your party member instead of the items. There is alot more but most of it ties into what I already said.
And my Brother warned me that I wouldn't like it or play it, because I to date haven't finished or I have dropped every Final Fantasy game I picked up.

Chrono Trigger - it was pretty good, last time I played it, but I guess this time I noticed how boring and linear everything is.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - I tried hard to like it, and I succeeded on a few occassions, but in the end it was just plain unbearable, expecially considering the Seals almost never worked for me!

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Never before have I experience such a dull and frustrating game in the Zelda series. I'm asshamed of myself for purchasing such garbage.>=(

Mario Kart DS - Okay, I shouldn't have been surprised by this, but it had been so long since I had played a game in the Mario Kart series that I forgot how crappy they were.

Pokemon: Pearl - again, it shouldn't have been a surprise, but for some reason I was expecting them to have have changed this series for better, not for the worse, if at all!

Super Mario 64 DS - I keep on forgetting how much I dislike the Mario series. Still, this port was particularly awful, and I'm rather sorry I passed up my N64 cart in favor of this version. What was I thinking?!D=

Drawn to life. I thought it would be so cool, and I would actually get to create EVERYTHING. Sadly, no. It gave you an outline, and you just filled it in. The gameplay also wasn't great. I sold it to chip in for our first REAL wii game.

A friend of mine got suckered into it too. He beat it and it just stayed there on his desk, unplayed for months to come....
