@blackdragon
Yeah, I guess we can. Dark Link shares my thoughts exactly. I can imagine 5th cell:
"Although you may think Drawn to Life is a fun platformer that thinks outside of the lines (box replacement) and you can draw anything, think again. This is a boring platfomer where you have to think and draw inside the lines. We can guarantee you'll sell it after your first playthrugh!"
Hopefully they'll do better with scribblenauts...

Scribblenauts does sound intriguing, but after Drawn to Life I'll be holding off for some reviews to hit the internets first.

I think ign was overhyping Scribblenauts a wee bit too much. I guess I can understand ds game of the show, but Overall Game of the Show? Come on, people, does it really look that good?

What it sounds like to me is your just rushing through the game with out leveling up or collecting Souls I assume? Or perhaps your not accustomed to the controls of the game, personally Dawn Of Sorrow is my Favorite DS Castlevania game followed by Ecclesia. If your still having trouble with the game there are always youtube walkthroughs that will guide you through until you get the hang of the game.

Collect Souls? You mean like entering a room 1000 times until you're finally lucky? nah... how the hell do i even level these souls up it isnt explained anywhere. Lol and yesterday i finished it by accident... went into a room , killed a boss (who i didnt evven knew was a boss) and then sum guy came and went to church with me -> game over (WTF???) Well i heard there are secret endings so lets see...

@topic: anyone remember Polarium ? Launch game... Magazines went crazy. I hated it.

Oh, I forgot to say Yoshis Island DS.

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!

I bought Contact a while ago - a magazine claiming it to be the new EarthBound.
For me it was just dull, and I never got round to finishing it. I sold it soon after.

Also, Animal Crossing was fairly disappointing compared to the Gamecube version (even with its portability), but at least I was able to give it to my mum. I haven't played on it for more than 2 hours. Tops.

Yeah, I am trying to get into "Contact" too, Edhe, but it seems like I'm either missing something cool or I'm just not that into it. What's the big deal about this game? I don't really see how innovative it claims to be.

Oh, so that's why Adam likes that game so much...I was wondering what made it so special. Now I know.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

theblackdragon

@edhe: oh, I forgot about Contact... thanks for reminding me. I traded it in after I was done with it. The references to LiveJournal were cute, but I just couldn't really get into the game. Maybe if I pick it up later I'll like it more.

I agree with you. I took it back to Gamestop after a day of playing and luckily they took it back. xD

To all Scribble-skeptics (yes, I just referred to you as a Scribble-skeptic), Drawn to Life was a very first effort on the DS, and targeted at little kids. The sequel looks to be much improved, and 5TH Cell has stated that they feel Scribblenauts is a much more ambitious and great concept/game than anything they've done before. There are three things you can't deny about Scribblenauts: 1) A lot of effort was poured into making this game, six months of just planning, in fact. 2) 5TH Cell has more experience with the DS and what it can do now than ever before. 3.) People have played, and love it.

Yoshis Island DS, I thought is was just terrible. An awful generic platformer altogether with none of Marios usual charm. (and some really frustrating level design as well)

Oh yeah, I was surprised I hated Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. (I know, I know, it's a movie-licensed game, what was I expecting?) I actually think the free movie ticket is worth more than the actual game, and I was disappointed with the movie too. After selling it, I'd rate about a 0.7
