@Stuffgamer1: did I say he died? all I said was 'defeated'... the only one talking about 'killing' is you re: Lavos, and you're right -- with as many endings as CT has, the assumption that Lavos goes down in all of them is false, and so it's hard to spoil that game by just giving the name of a boss.

Maybe for the DS, Chrono Trigger is underappreciated, but it was released in the 90s for the Super Nintendo and its now an RPG classic.
That is sad if kids now can't appreciate a 2D game. I was like 10 when I first rented it from Blockbuster.
A few years ago, I bought the PS1 versions of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI and played them back to back. It took me a few days to conclude that Chrono Trigger is better because it has a better focus on characters.
