#1 is a total copout, but other than that, this wasn't anymore rage inducing than any other top XX list of games.
On Second thought, at least it isn't as bad as Kotaku's list. Sure, it's onlt 12 games, but Ghost Trick and Pokemon Black/White are the only ones I felt deserved to even be mentioned.
I've braved the ads and drivel to condense that list back down to one page's worth of content (as it should've been from the outset). Here's that list, from top-ranked to bottom-ranked:
Pokemon: the DS generations
Mario Kart DS
M&L: Partners in Time
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
New Super Mario Bros.
Professor Layton and the Last Specter
The World Ends with You
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Elite Beat Agents
GTA: Chinatown Wars
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Pokemon Conquest
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Tetris DS
LoZ: Spirit Tracks
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
999
Picross DS
DQIX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Kirby: Mass Attack
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Rhythm Heaven
Super Scribblenauts
the fact that Radiant Historia is nowhere near this list should be indication enough that it shouldn't be taken seriously.

My main problem with this list is that there are so many fantastic games out for the ds that a top 25 doesn't do it justice - a top 50 or even 100 would be far better.
Particularly so when multiple games from the same series are included - there is a huge variety of DS genres that just aren't represented in this list. I haven't played enough DS games to get up in arms about IGN's particular choices.
(Also, as I'm looking to finish up my DS library, I'm on the lookout for good games I might have missed - a top 10 or 25 list inevitably comes up with games that I already own! The only games listed here I don't have are Picross DS (I've god Picross 3d instead), Pokemon Conquest (still need to grab it) and Animal Crossing (I've got the Wii version, so figured the DS version isn't necessary).
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

Actually I find it hard to make a top 10 list of DS games, let alone a top 25. I can't say I've encountered many must have games. I'm already having a better time with the 3DS.
