I've been a huge fan of the Stafi games for a long time, I own the three GBA titles as well as the two DS games. Anyone else excited to see this series making its debut outside of Japan on the DS? Other than Mario & Luigi 3, this is my most anticipated US release. I'll finally get to see what's really going on in the game's story line.

2. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 00:17 BST I'm actually really excites, but it seems like nobody is aware of it yet, unfortunally. Hopefully the hype will expand more closer to the games release. The one big game I'm excited for is Punch Out. |

3. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 00:19 BST As you might've already known, I imported the fourth Starfy and thought it was one of the best platformers on the DS. Judging by the quality of Densetsu no Starfy 4, I think The Legendary Starfy could quite possibly be the best DS title released this summer. |

4. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 00:37 BST I only know Stafy through Brawl and a Youtube speed run or two that I've watch a couple minutes of, so maybe one of you Stafy fans can give me the low-down? What's so great about this little guy besides the obvious fact that he's an adorable starfish who, as Sakurai put it, tries real hard? (I think that's what he put on the Smash blog.... I just remember thinking it was an hilarious description of a game's hero, haha.) From the videos I watched, it seemed fairly facile, but it's hard to judge by speed runs because they're obviously done by someone who is good at the game. What games would this be most similar to? I don't have a DS, so this is just curiosity for the moment, but when that inevitable must-have DSiWare title comes out and I cave in and buy the system, maybe I'll give it a look-see then. |

6. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 00:48 BST I've been waiting to see Starfy come in some form another so you can imagine how happy I am to FINALLY see it come. This game can be used as a testimony to the common saying that Nintendo doesn't listen "at all" which isn't true. |

7. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 01:25 BST It's not really surprising. I think Brawl was responsible for gaining the series a larger following (as was the case with Fire Emblem and Melee). I hope they can localise the rest of the series too (especially 4). |

9. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 01:43 BST I wonder if Brawl did have anything to do with it. If so, that is quite the testament to the obsessiveness of Smash fans to become interested in an obscure, overseas franchise due to one minor item. |

10. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 02:12 BST Starfy has too many names, Starfy, Stafy, Stafi, Starfi, why can't they just decide on one. Try saying that 10 times fast, You get it because it's said the same every time, lol |

12. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 02:20 BST When I wrote the Densetsu no Stafi 2 faq for the GameFaqs bounty, I had the name down three different times throughout the faq and had to go back and change it to one set name. I finally went with Stafi since that was how GameFaqs had it listed. |

I blame tiredness. Fear it. Also, Stafy's dragon suit is greatly for great justice of greatness. |

15. Posted: Tue 21st Apr 2009 02:45 BST Heck, I'm very excited. This is my most anticipated game right now. I'm buying some copies of the game for my friends as well and telling people about it in the hope that it will sell well. Maybe we'll get to see new Stafy games and the old GBA ones (or Stafy 4 for DS, but that was my least favorite) if this is successful). Spread the word. |
