Seriously, out of all the cool new things Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver did (imo, at least), the fact that you can have your favorite Pokémon follow you around is the best.
...But right there in second is this device made of win, the GB Sounds Adaptor thingy. Seriously, this thing is fanservice genius, and...I don't even listen to the remixed stuff anymore. The sweetest thing about it, though, was hearing new tunes and 8-bit. As much as I love sitting for hours in Azelea Town with the thing on, hearing an 8-bit version of Route 47/48 is pure bliss, and right now, as I write this, I'm listening to the Global Terminal's theme GB Sounds-ified.
So if any of y'all Trainers are like me and dig the device, show it some love right here.

It is pretty cool, I'll give it that. I'm pretty sure Game Freak changed Lavender Town's music a little bit, and that is disappointing. I liked the creepy theme from Blue/Red/Yellow. It is definitely different.

I have to admit I cheat-beat Red for this. GTST GB FTW! (That's Global Terminal Soundtrack GameBoy for the win if you got confused.)
But...the conditions to unlock are just all 16 badges...which is still a lot, but not Red-lot... D:
But yes, the Global Terminal theme was already so simplistically beautiful, but 8-bit just enhances that quality. :3

It's a nice fan service. some tunes are just plain better in 8-bit.
Some remixes, like the Goldenrod City one are very different, yet nostalgic at the same time. While i like it, sometimes itis just great to listen to the Game Boy version for the real nostalgic experience.
And some themes, particularly the Route 29 one, are totally FUBAR'd. That's where the GB Sounds comes in.
I like this item. I like how they actually made a couple of new tracks for areas that weren't even in GSC (Global Terminal, Battle Frontier Front, the new routes etc), but its a bit of a shame the Battle Frontier facilities themselves didn't get an 8-bit overhaul. Oh well, apart from that its a great item

I'll agree with you there. I was sad when I was in the plaza and it was 8-bit, but entering the facilities (outside of the Battle Tower) was a real let-down. And I would have loved to hear an 8-bit Fronteir Brain Battle Theme...
