I got a DSi on release, but then I didn't have any of the earlier versions. (last hand-held I had was a Gameboy colour!!) I was going to buy a DS back last autumn, but since I heard the DSi was coming out, I held out for it. Now I'm glad I did. The features on here that are new are actually quite cool, though like most people I thought they'd be a waste of space. Plus I can go online with WPA encryption ... something I'd never had done if I could only use WEP. So, to me, waiting and paying extra for the DSi was well worth it.
I didn't buy one. To me, it's a half-hearted approach to the iPhone - not worth an extra $40, especially since my DS lite works fine And yeah, the DSi Shop is kind of cool, but that's just more money you have to unload.
u dont have to unload more money tho pixelman, its ur choice
no i dont have a dsi but i really want one...im just scared ill get it and then nintendno will release a new DS like next year or something (or handheld even)
well, you can always try to sell your old system and buy the new one. I think I'll grab myself a white DSi this or next week. I've given it a veeery long thought and know I think I'm ready to replace my DSLite with the DSi
No, I don't have one, and thankfully (as the thing cost $350 over here) I'm not particularly interested on it, when the handheld VC get released, or a really good game appears exclusively for it I'll be interested, still, I need it for my Nintendo hardware collection so I hope to get one someday, but no hurries.

I like my DSi, although I like the outer shell of the DS Lite better. **shrug** Anyway, it was already well worth it for me even for the few DSiWare games that have been released so far. It'd be nice to eventually get that rumored Virtual Handheld, but I'm not all that fussed if it takes a little while; after all, I have more than enough games to play as is.
You know, I didn't think the slightly bigger screens would make a big difference, but after playing with my DSi a lot the Lite's screens appear noticeably smaller - small enough for me not to want to touch it anymore. The speakers are also good enough now for me to play without headphones, most of the time.

Ditto. I so far only have BOXLIFE and (the Internet browser of coarse), and I don't play it much, I'm not exactly a puzzle lover, or at least of that kind of puzzle, but I do think the idea was really unique.
