What the heck was with THAT? Not only was it 20 times harder than the entire rest of the game, it didn't make any sense to have to fight LOBBER! Though it DOES make Corbie's Starfy Avatar more relevent in a way...

I did finally manage to beat the darned guy, though. My best time (and don't expect me to try and beat that) is 00:50:62. Please post comments on the battle and your best time!

Every Stafi game is the same. Smooth sailing until you get near the end end and then BAM, brutal boss fights. I remember when I took on the second battle with Ogura in Stafi 2 while writing my FAQ. I bet it took me 30 times to beat that boss.

Plain old gamer :)

I don't know about a best time but when I beat the main adventure and it said to me "Your adventure isn't over yet!" I lit up like a kid on Christmas morning

Ogura? Lobber mentioned that guy in the uber-annoying unskippable text before the fight.

Y'know what? Kirby games have often had a similar difficulty jump right at the end, especially in older games (Dream Land 2 comes to mind...). You just never see it coming...

I'm glad I beat Lobber, though, and in one sitting, too!

@JJosh: Have you beaten 10-7? You get a best time for that level, and every level in world 10, actually.

Ogura is the main villain in the GBA Stafi titles. He's a bad mamma-jamma.

I'm sure he is. I want those games localized now...

Fortunately, Starfy's sales have picked up since release. It just turned out to be one of those games that most people find out about AFTER release, y'know? Professor Layton was the same way. As long as it sells really well, there's hope, and that makes me happy.

@Stuffgamer: I must not have. I thought the Starly levels were the end... and I think those are level 9-1 through 9-5 I think... oh me oh my...

Yeah, you have to beat the boss rush mode in under eight minutes to unlock world 10. Have fun!

Thanks for the info, never would have known lol

@Stuffgamer1: that's just one more thing to add to the 'similarities to Kirby' pile for Starfy, to be honest. :3 I wonder if HAL Laboratory had any kind of hand in the creation of the series?

@JJosh: I forget where, but I'd heard that the game had ten worlds, so I went to GameFAQs to learn how to unlock the tenth. I had already figured it would take a better time on Boss Rush, but I wanted to make sure.

@theblackdragon: Not that I know of. Maybe it was just inspiration or something. One thing I WILL say, though: Starfy is a WHOLE lot better than the newer Kirby games, and actually, than Kirby in general, imo. Maybe I'm just burnt out on the Kirby formula after playing the series for 14 years, though.

@Stuffgamer1: i think Starfy is a good example of old ideas being put to good use. And sound effects. I swear the Kirby door-entering sound effect (or something very, very similar) is in TLS (sometimes when Starfy makes noise, though not often). :3

Is this in one of the Japanese games?

Yeah, I enjoy Starfy more than Kirby and look at my user name.

No, I was talking about something within The Legendary Starfy, the one game in the series to be released on North America thus far.

@metakirbyknight: Yeah, and now your avatar is Pokemon-related. You're just a bundle of variety and strangeness.

Cool! Wait... Was that a complement?

It's just the way I am. I play everything that's fun and isn't an FPS.

@metakirbyknight: In my family, being weird is a good thing, and what I called you is close enough to "weird" to count. So yes, it's a complement.

Not FPS! WOOT!

It took me 5 tries to get the pattern down, then on the 6th try I beat it in 00:31:64.
