I'm interested in this game, so how is it?

Exactly.

I got it. Quite simply, the best 200 point game currently out. You play a General Duck (I call him General Quackers) and have to throw bombs into the mouths of ghosts. Sometimes you get Super bombs, which explode into a bunch of other bombs into more mouths that in turn explode (you can easily win a stage with one of them). Controls are a bit loose but still top notch touchscreen controls, with some amazing graphics. Only bad thing is the music isn't "amazing".

That page says it's Intelligent Systems, and I'm pretty impressed with the music in their other recent DSiWare game (Link n Launch.) Wasn't interested in it before, but I'll at least consider it now.

Still really happy Ninty brought it over from Japan.

Thanks for the impressions. Sounds cool!

Sounds like a must-buy to me. Thanks!

I also bought it, and despite its extremely child-like appearance, it is certainly one of the better 200-point games available. Basically you rotate a wheel to change your aim, then press the toss button to toss the bomb. It's really not as easy as it sounds, as you have to make the bomb land on top of the enemy, and you have to toss it at the correct angle, or you'll lose a bomb. And you only get 5 bombs per stage. But, like I said, its definitely one of the best 200-point games.

Got it and tried it out. lt's a little like Trajectile (Reflect Missile) except with gravity. Qwikman described it well. You also get super bombs which pretty much spawn more bombs if you hit an enemy. The graphics and sound are polished and colourful, and it looks like there are more modes than Story Mode alone. Definitely worth the 200 points!

I got it and played through about 18 stages so far. I really like it! I disagree with the poster before me who said the controls are loose. They seem fine to me. All you have to do is aim then toss but it gets tricky as they begin to place obstacles in your way. There was even a "boss stage" as well. Best 200 points I have spent no doubt. Very charming game. I highly reccommend it!

Loads of fun to play. My son loves shouting Spotto! when it pops onto the screen. A definite win, especially for the price.

I was going to do a first impressions article of the Japanese version, but Nintendo beat me to the punch! I still have yet to play, but it's on my DSi LL.

By loose controls, I mean that the aiming is a bit off. I still haven't gotten a feel of the controls, and can anyone get pass Stage 6 or the one that has the little ghost? I find it extremely hard.

@OsoOto I'm on stage 18 and I still tend to undershoot! I think it's supposed to be quite tricky, but 5 bombs should be enough to get you through the early stages.

Trust me, that little ghost in stage 6 isn't the last one you see. I got it by aiming at its furthest right position and timing the shot. The small ones do need precision. If all else fails, use a super-bomb.

I've been playing this a lot, and much like Trajectile, it can be brutal. I'm on level 46 (out of 50, apparently), and If you don't like the small ghost, wait until you have to ricochet bombs off of small, MOVING targets in an ATTEMPT to hit a moving small ghost. Also, there are boss fights, but as long as you time them so you hit them with their mouths open, they should be little problem.

Exactly.

I'm on Stage 20, and I really like it now! I've gotten used to how far I should turn the dial and when to toss. For 200 points, this is a 9/10 IF NOT 10/10.

I'd say 9/10 too, though its lasting appeal after Story Mode is complete isn't so great. Challenge Mode is just the same set of stages with an ongoing set of bombs. Still, this title is major quality (50 stages, good gameplay, good presentation) for 200 points.

I got through a few levels in the john last night (too much information?). Nice little game, I love the 50s-60s animated look and the funky backgrounds - little games like this are what I love about DSiWare!

This game seems like a must buy type of game for only 200 points. The only thing thats kinda off about the game is that its ″too easy″. Did anybody think that about this game?

I've not played too much of it, but I'd say it's "accessible" rather than "easy." It's a simple budget title you can waste some time with, I wouldn't expect to play it for serious challenge.

@ sean- Thanks for the info. Since Spotto only takes up 22 blocks of memory I think I may have to try this one out. Who knows, maybe someone else in my fam will love this one...
