I got about 80$ Bucks Spent on my DSiware Games ;P
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
No, hopefully my blog I've written has open some eyes, down at Nintendo..........The love I see, when I watch the videos on Wii Nintendo Channel, I hope it translates through the ToU and License agreement, Internationally.
Don't get your hopes up on transfers. I can't imagine them going through with it. It seems like it ought to be a simple thing to link up your systems with Club Nintendo and have access to your purchases on other systems, but it doesn't seem like something Nintendo would do.
PS - I wouldn't mind one bit if I was wrong. I didn't buy a ton of DSiWare, mostly because I didn't find much of it interesting, but what I do have I would love to be transferred over. I just don't think it'll happen.

I'd say it's a distinct possibility that DSiWare won't be playable at all on the new system, much less transferable. As Rusty_Nail points out, Nintendo has been avoiding the issue entirely.
To be honest, they're very different systems anyway, and you should just keep your DSi if you haven't finished playing those games. They won't look as good on the new system anyway; the pixel density is higher, so that you'll have a smaller picture for those older games surrounded by a thick black border.

I'm thinking you won't be able to transfer them (or at least they haven't figured out how to do it yet). They don't want to say, because they don't want to dampen excitement for the system. If you could, they'd just be like "yeah, you can do that," because that's good marketing.
Stupid Nintendo. I'm not going to buy anything else on their online shops until this is resolved (at least not DSi, maybe VC, since I'll probably end up keeping my Wii, assuming they remove GCN compatibility on Wii2). I'd imagine they would keep the library available to beef up 3DSWare's launch library for people to buy again, grumble mumble.

It's up to you of course, but I personally don't understand this sentiment. First off, most downloadable handheld games aren't really of the sort that I have any permanent need to keep; there are the ones like MFC with zero replay value, and then puzzle games like the Art Style series which are wonderful but eventually run out of content as well. If you do want to keep playing them a bit longer, or in other words if you aren't bored of the ones you own by the time the 3DS hits, you can just hold onto your DSi for another year, or however long until you find yourself not really playing them (which won't be nearly that long, I'd predict). Now, even if you do sell the DSi with all your games still on it, you'll be able to fetch a much better price for it. Maybe Gamestop won't take those into account, but you can be sure that having 50 games installed or whatnot would give it a decent boost on Ebay, so you won't lose out entirely.
I suppose I'm losing any hoarding tendencies I may have had before, and actually feel somewhat refreshed to think of not having to keep up with every game I've bought for the rest of my life. Some things cost me $5 or $8, were great fun, and are over, and that's a good thing.

I'd rather not lose my electroplanktons, thank you very much. But other than that, I never play my DSiware games anymore. I just don't like the fact that I spent a lot of them, and now I might just have to give them away if I want to sell my DSi to get a 3DS.
Just let it happen.
