Ok so about 2 months ago I bought skull candy headphones from target. They are special ones for the DSi and DSlite (they have a microphone built into them) and they work great! too bad they broke my dsi's microphone though...
After taking them out my microphone in the system stopped working. So, not knowing what the problem was at the time I sent it into nintendo.
I got it back today, and then I played with it the mic worked great!, then (again I didn't know it was my headphones that did this) I plugged them in again. Now it (the mic) wont work at all anymore. Nintendo said they would fix it again, but does anybody know how this could have happened?
p.s. it is also considered 3rd party and they say plugging them in voids the warranty (bit they are fixing it for free anyways). I don't....quite get that

always look for the nintendo seal of aproval before you buy stuff for your systime

I just use regular Skull Candys & they work fine ^^ on both Lite & DSi

yeah, Im buying a pair of skullcrushers (without the microphone and WITH built in subwoofers) and Im just going to use the built in mic from now on

no seriously, That is what nintendo told me. The problem is the official nintendo headset is only for one ear and its sound quality is....questionable at best
