I have had my DS Lite for almost 4 years, but now I have upgraded to DSi and I rarely use either, I wish to keep one just for the DS games I still have. My question is should I sell the old polar white one or should I keep it?

If you have no other way to play Game Boy Advance games (if you have GBA games), then keep the DS Lite. If you have a way to play GBA games, then the DS Lite's need not apply. Except for not being able to play GBA games, the DSi can do everything the DS Lite can, and then some. Absolutely keep the DSi. If you sell your DSi, then that would be wasting photos you took and games you downloaded.
Well, since the DS Lite is at the brink of dying, sell it. You might need to tell the person you're selling it to that it is in need of repairs, though, just in case.
I'm selling it to Gamestop (Sure it's a rip-off, but I don't sell it anywhere else like Ebay) so if it dies they just were the ones that got screwed over.
Oh if it helps I'm a bit of a collector, I have every model of the Gameboy (Except Micro) but I loved the GB much more then I do the DS, the reason I'm thinking about selling it was is I'm short on cash for games, and I have really gotten into PS3 recently, so should I sell it or keep it as a collectors item.
I have owned every DS model at one point and I only keep the most recent one and the original. So, for you, I don't know because they still sell Lites.

Well if I sell it, its likely that I'll never buy another or at least not until I have an actual paying job somewhere, I'm only 13 as of now. Like I said the system is on the brink of death now and I really don't know. I've heard that the systems that are polar white are had to come bye now-a-days, but the only thing I use mine for anymore is Guitar Hero: On Tour once in a blue moon. A lot of my systems are like that, but the DS Lite really isn't something that I think is quintessential for my collection, in fact I'm trying to get away from collecting because: 1. Its incredibly expensive for a kid. 2. I'm running out of room to put games and CD's, I have a whole room dedicated to video games and I literally have two towers of games. I estimate I have 400 some games and over 200 CD's I think. 3. I don't play a lot of what I have, so why should I just simply buy something to stare at it forever (Well Video Games anyway, things like Coke Bottles are more understandable to me). I really need to sell a lot of what I have and try to enjoy newer games and actually play instead of playing one thing and having another 400 on the shelves. So anyone know where I should go with all of this?
I think I owned 200 total games (not at the same time) Now I have 11 DS games 27 Wii games and 20 Gamecube games. I wish I could've kept them but I needed the money to buy new ones because I am also to young for a full time job. ( My brother one day traded in 50 of our Gamecube games for a PS2 without telling me) I keep the cases though.

@WaveBoy: he already said he had two GBAs, and it's also on the fritz apparently. there's no point in keeping it, lol :3

Well, I sell al my gameboys, my gamecube, my gamecube games and some of my gamecube games (only keept 3 of them) I win enough money to buy like 4 Wii games, so is a good deal I think, so go ahead and sell it.
The system itself is on the fritz, not the games, oh yeah I also have the GB Player for Gamecube, so I'm fine, sure the DS Lite may have been built like a brick, but by my standards and portable items, it outlasted everything else so far.
I would have sold my DS Lite once I got my DSi but it broke and is unusable now. (But the reason I got a DSi is because it broke, hmm...)
If you don't care about playing GBA games on the go, then go ahead and sell it. You're not losing out because apart from Slot-2 the DSi does everything the DS Lite can do and more. May as well make a penny off your old system while you can.
