Topic: Shantae Help

Top right of the map. (From the first screen of the first town, keep going right all the way to the end passed the teleporter).

Ive been looking for it too. this is a guess, but go to the third dungeon, which is locked. Go right, and monkey dash off a wall on a cliff.

Um, the cave where there are small tunnels? I get into a tunnel, but then its a dead end with vases above me. The cave Im in is just east of the pumpkin patch. Im not actually in the main part of the desert, but above it. Its next to a save room... That cave?

Double checked. The teleporter in the bottom left of the desert. It's in a cave one screen to the right of that. Fire magic required.

I have been ere at last nine times. It could have at least SHOWN ME A SIGN ITS BURNABLE! Jeez, thanks for all the help.

@Slave: When I posted that thing about the crossed out text, it looked to me like EVERYTHING past the one sentence that is now crossed out was crossed out. No idea why.

Like jdarrell said, the boathouse is in the top right of the entire map, AKA the only house on the map you haven't been to. It's right there, plain as day. I automatically figured that's where they meant because it was the only place I hadn't been and it was just to the right of the third dungeon. You DO need the Monkey Dash to be able to get there, though.

@MysteriousVoice: Seemed pretty obvious that it was burnable to me...there's another cave elsewhere with a single square of burnable material that requires the triple-shot fire to hit that's FAR less obvious and gave me some trouble. I thought I'd better mention that since it's related and might save you some trouble later.

Where am I to get the Mermaid transformation for Shantae?

Alright, Jrdell, Im in the room with the mermaid statue. Theres this stone tiki blocking my way to a chest, but the mermaid cant attack, and the elephant cant swim.

I took a break from playing so still at the start of the third temple. I would guess there's a hidden wall and you use the elephant to exit through the stone..

Ah, finally done. I just beat it, killed my magic half,
I still have six MJs to find though....As a completionist, I would go and look for them, but for this game, I just dont really care...

Guys how do I the get the Mermaid transformation????? And what's up with the strange door with the skeleton thing over head? I have a key but it won't open! PLEASE HELP ME!

@Tokyored The skull door doesn't open with the key but with the 2 skull halves which are found deep in the dungeon. For the Mermaid though, I found it, but I can't really explain how to get it now cause the path in getting it is really confusing for many, I'll have to backtrack for the directions.

@MysteriousVoice: That underwater fish statue is a bit of a jerk move on the part of the developers...you can't pass it without the Mermaid talisman you get AFTER you finish the dungeon. Oh, and spoiler much (post #53)?

@TokyoRed: Remember to experiment with the cyclops statues in dungeon 3...there's one room with two of them near two doors, but they effect the door next to the OTHER statue, not the one next to it. Then, further in, there's a room with two eyes in the wall that combine to effect a single door in a wide variety of ways. Trial and error should be enough for you to get through there...every combination that opens the door has the eyes either facing toward or away from each other...no right angles.

Thanks guys. I figured out how to get that treasure chest. It was like a extradimensional experience lol. Shantae has some tough puzzles. Man, and I thought that Mighty Flip Champs and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was hard! They are easy compared to Shantae!

Thanks again folks. Now I'm off to find the wonderful mermaid of Oz, ah err...I mean Mermaid Transformation of WHERE EVER the heck it is hidden in Shantae: Risky's Revenge!

@TokyoRed: Your mind clearly doesn't work the same way mine does, because I think Mighty Flip Champs is SIGNIFICANTLY harder than Risky's Revenge.

I'm in the 3rd Dungeon (the one you open with explosives and the electricity power up) andafter a while I'm at a room with 4 eye switches and a locked door... there's a LOT of combinations, what is the darn solution, how should we know the solution, not much hint here... each eye statues can positions their eyes in 4 directions... that's 256 combinations... I am not going to test them all

@Slave: You don't need to try them all, just seek out the room that has the combination on display! You should have reached that room from the room I mentioned before with two eyes over one door...try some other combinations there and see what you get.

Well I didnt stumbled onto that chamber that displays them, but I DID tried all 256 combinations and none worked What the hell? Seems like I'll need to find that chamber then...

Yup... unless you manage to see the room with the code, all combinations wont work...that sucks terribly...

Ok where is that lower part Skull?
