Topic: Shantae Advance IS Possible and thats from Matt Bozon from Wayforward

I just got in this months Nintendo Power and found a very interesting statement with an interview with Matt Bozon from Wayforward. He is the original creator of Shantae (along with his wife) and NP asked him about the chance of Santae Advance coming at some point and his reply was "We approached many publishers to get backing, but at the time a Shantae sequel was to "risky." Since then we have made several demos, including a beautiful DS version. We'd love to bring it to DSiWare, But right now its too easy to say for sure. Fingers crossed."

That sounds really promising to me. With Wayforward already having a huge sucess in MFC on DSiWare whats to stop them from their next game being a little risky with Shantae and with the cult following its got nowadays it would be very little risk in my opinion. Ive still havent been able to get my hands on Shantae and its the MAIN reason I want a DSi VC so this is a very great suprise to read today. Hope yall get excited over this one too and buy it if its eventually comes out.

Sorry, I've already talked to Wayforward about it. Right now Shantae doesn't seem to be the priority. At least until they finish up some other stuff they're working on. I still want to go up there so I can see the game running in 1080p on the Playstation 3. According to Matt, they have Shantae running on just about every platform you can imagine. I'd also like to get my hands on that finished copy of Shantae Advance.

@Corbie....LOL you and me both.....You can take me with you up there anyday I tried my best to get my hands on Shantae this past weekend but was unable to come across it. I think Im going to have to end up shelling out the big bucks to get it. Hang on they have it running on PS3 with updated graphics. That would be an awesome PSN title.....so even if we dont get VC on DSi maybe it will be a PSN title.....Gunstar did just drop on PSN. Maybe there is even more hope for a update on Shantae!

I actually just did a search thru Google and found a site that sells used retro games and its got Shantae listed for the same as all the other ton of GB Color games 14.99. I bought it and it will be in in a couple of days and hopefully it will be the real deal and not some pirated crap. If it is Ill send it right back.
