The samples sound a lot better than the first - it seems like a lot of them sustain for a longer period of time, so backing instruments actually work properly. I love the electric and bass guitar samples. I also hope there are some acoustic guitar samples - maybe one plucking and a couple of strumming samples if possible?
The screenshots also show some new features. There are 3 options on the MONO/POLY button now. Also there's a new VARI button too.
I really hope this has backwards compatibility with the first Rytmik. I love electronic/rock crossovers!
EDIT: I like the songs Cross Over, Electro Dust and Rockin' so far. Listening to more. Sounds like there are some piano and electronic samples, mostly synth keyboards, but I still hold out hope for backwards compatibility.
I'm excited for this, but I'm not sure if I'll buy it right away. I enjoy techno over rock, personally. But I would buy it the sceond its released if it has exclusive features if you own the first Rytmik.
Hi guys, here is new video of Rytmik Rock Edition. We present here some new features and sounds. And be prepared that Rytmik Rock Edition is released tomorrow 5.11. in Europe!
Hi, Rytmik Rock Edition has all the features of first Rytmik plus it adds some new interesting features. And the sound librarry contains completely new samples different from the first Rytmk.
Rytmik Rock Edition was released today in Europe. In North America we are just waiting for release date, so I hope it will be very soon. And be prepared, that after US release we are going to anounce another contest...
Wow, the new features like VARI and more polyphony are great! The variety you can get out of one instrument is pretty awesome. Can't wait for NA release.
I dunno if it was released in Australia... which would be strange, considering the first was.
I could be wrong about that though, just going from a vague memory of the last update.
Either way, as much as I enjoyed playing with the last one, I won't be buying this, simply because I picked up Music Studio on the iPad, and that's much better as a music creation tool.
Hardly the fault of the developers, though, who have done a great job with what the DSi allows - and I recommend anyone who doesn't have an alternative (iPad, or if you have the money, music creation tools on the PC) to pick up at least one of these.
We are pleased to annouce that Cinemax will release game Rytmik: Rock Edition on 12/06/2010 with the special price at 200 DSi Points Only through the US DSi Shop.
