is there anyone out there where rytmik has been released that can answer my questions? 1. not including drum beats, how many tracks (sequences of varying music & instruments) can you have playing at one time? 2. how many drum beats can you have playing at once. 3. is there something similar to a kaoss pad? 4. how many patterns per song? 5. can you use a grid system to compose or do you have to do it with like a virtual piano or something? 6. how many frames can your song go, like can you make a 10 minute song if you wanted? 7. is there a patch system to where i can wire different virtual mixers together? 8. is there visualization to go along with your music? & finally, is it better or equal to korg ds-10 plus which i currently use. thank you sooooo much to whoever answers one or more of these questions.

whaaaaa? i count 16 simultanius tracks! with 4 drum parts that still leaves 12 tracks! korg ds-10 plus only has 6 total, and 2 are reserved for percussion which only gives you 4 tracks to play with. how is it possible that a dsiware app could kick the ass of a full retail cart? i must be missing something here...whats the catch? im guessing no kaoss pad man, im so excited for this. & cant you save like 100+ songs? korg ds-10 only lets you save like between 8 & 16, depending on their complexity. i have to ask again, how can a dsiware app be better than a $35 card?
@breegullblaster Yeah, no Kaoss Pad. It's meant purely for musical composition, not performance. The KORG DS-10 is intended to emulate the KORG MS-10 synthesizer, so it has the same limitations as the original hardware - meaning 6 tracks only. Rytmik is built from the ground up for composition.
The reason the KORG DS-10 retail release is so loved is because it's pretty much a perfect emulation, and has all the bells and whistles. The point of the software is the emulation, so I wouldn't say Rytmik is "better" because it isn't intended to emulate a synthesizer. Rytmik is purely for music composition and playback.
Oh yeah, and there are 255 save slots on Rytmik.
EDIT: Here's a video of the trailer I mentioned earlier. I mislinked it in my earlier post. Shows a sample of the software's capabilities and ease of use.
well ill have both on my dsi xl thats perfectly fine with me. ive had too many points for too long & nothing ever floats my goat with dsi ware anymore. thinking about that retro one too. this stuff is making me look into a real synthisizer for real.
Meh, don't have enough points to get this and doesn't really interest me, so i'm not gonna get it any time soon.
Looking forward to The Conduit 2 and CoD: Black Ops for DS For really cool avatars for a forum, go here! http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Callsigns/Emblems
