I bought Rhythm Heaven right when it came out in 2009, It was my FAVORITE Game. After I traded in my DSi I traded in all my games also. (Which included Rhythm Heaven)
I found a copy on amazon today and I decided to order it because of how much I missed it.
It was awesome for me because of how lighthearted and really how downright fun it was.
Did anyone else have this game and/or loved it?
And what are your thoughts on it?
(I couldn't find another thread for Rhythm Heaven so I hope this thread is okay x3)
I might have enjoyed this game a little bit too much. It also helped a lot too, since my rhythm used to be pretty bad until I played this game, so the skills sort of transferred over to playing an instrument irl.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Best game ever? Surely not as some trials are a joke because they are so damn easy and some are so unfair.
Best DS game ever? Probably, but TWEWY is a really hard competitor.
Now seriously, i love this game. I don't have a lot of rhythm but it's pretty good fon beginners and people that want to try their rhythm routines. One of the best things is the art style that never gest old.
I got it when if first came out cause I like Ko Takeuchi's art so much. Though I didn't play much at first cause my rhythm was so bad. Wasn't until like last year after I played PaRappa that I tried it again. Glad I did cause it is really fun. I'm much better at it now too. Still only have a handful of perfects though as I'm just so bad under pressure.

Don't worry, I'm bad under pressure too!
Even though I can perfectly run more than 10 of the minigames I've unlocked, I've only got 2 perfects!

Best game ever? No. But best DS game ever? Maybe!

I like it a lot, despite me having to skip a lot of them. If the difficulty was toned (pun intended) down a bit, I'd like it even more. I don't really get the whole "Lizard" game and the stupid Moai games doesn't always register my stuff. Or maybe I just really suck at this.
No way! Its got some great music and is a very charming game but the difficulty curve could have been a lot better. I may not be that good at rhythm action games but I still think they could have improved the difficulty curve with this game. Rhythm thief and the emperor's treasure is another rhythm action game I've played and that had a better difficulty curve than this. In both games, I stopped playing after they got too hard for me and in Rhythm paradise (as its called in Europe) that happened way too quickly but in Rhythm thief, for a while, I was really enjoying the rhythm games and found them to be a good challenge as some took me a while to beat but I beat them eventually and was still having fun while trying to get through them until I got to chapter 7 where it got too hard for me.
It certainly is full of charm and catchy tunes but not the best game ever, it's not even the best rhythm game IMO (DJ Max and Ouendan take the cake) Enjoyed it none the less, but getting all those medals is really hair pulling hard, especially with the revised Rhythm rally, Moai doo-wop and Fillbots.
