I loved TWEWY, but I don't see it as a long airplane ride game. The story is depressing, and the game is very action-intensive. I personally prefer something to relax with on a plane. Contact is very funny and well paced. Magical Starsign also looks great, though I never played it.

Lol I went to look for Contact and Magical Starsign with no look. When I got back I found 10 bucks on my lawn. Im now later gonna go buy either devil survivor, fire emblem, FFTA2, or FFIII. Those were the games they had that I was interested in. Anybody know which of those I should get? Ive got the rest of today to buy something before the flight.

I haven't played any of them, but I've played other games in each's series (except Devil Survivor... never heard of it), and I'd suggest FFIII. Fire Emblem is a great series, but I've heard the DS one is not very strong on story. The first FF Tactics Advance was really kiddy and I couldn't get into it. If FFIII is anything like IV or V, I think it'd be the ideal game for a long trip.
Also, you found $10 on your lawn!? When I learned at a young age that money does not grow on trees, I never in my life thought to check if it grew in grass.

Lol,my troubled neighbors got evicted and left the place trashed, and left junk all over the lawn. So that is potentially where the bill came from, since both of our lawns are joined together, they always leave useful junk lying around MY lawn.

LOL! That hilarious! what did they get evicted for?
35. Posted: Fri 3rd Jul 2009 13:21 BST
contact and mystery dungeon are both awesome games and kept me entertained for a long time because they have such great replay value. magical starsign was good, but i got tired of playing it because of the battle system. i found the battles to be really long because of the spell animations, and since the game is heavily magic based, there were a lot of them... so i got bored and never finished it. i may go back, not sure though...

Shiren the Wanderer is one of the best roguelikes on any system, ever. If you've never played a roguelike, go download NetHack. http://www.nethack.org/ Do it. Seriously.
The Dark Spire is another 20-dollar RPG.It's essentially a spiritual successor of the old Wizardry and The Bard's Tale series. It plays out pretty much exactly the same; create a party of 4 adventurers and set off into a super-tough dungeon. The game is really (as in really really really) long.
Etrian Odyssey 1 & 2 are a lot like The Dark Spire, though arguably easier.
