Finally found a copy in my town. Went down to my local retro game shop to pick up a few N64 games when I happened to see PoR in their display case (they sell all gen from 1st to current gen) for 20 dollars. To my surprise it was a brand new sealed copy too.

I purchased 3 games recently, Picross 3D, Heroes of Ruin and Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. I've already dusted Heroes of Ruin off and i'm on to my second playthrough as a Gunslinger. I'm halfway through Picross 3D now and I can say I'm not a huge puzzle guy but this game has me addicted, I get bored from time to time, but it's one of those games that you just pick up and play, plus it's not too difficult to learn how to play and you'll love it no matter what. Also got to get Picross E when that arrives, as it was announced for Europe and Australia a few weeks ago and I haven't played any of the other games in the Picross series, maybe Mario's Picross can satiate my picross addiction for the time being.
As for Etrian Odyssey II, Haven't played any of the other games in the series either, but I just recently became interested in Atlus' games, so this should be good. I got this cheap off a website and it was still factory sealed, just wondering whether I should keep it that way or just open it. Can anyone tell me if the map making is easy in this game? I hear in this series you got to map entire dungeons as well as explore them.

I don't buy DS games anymore, but I did win a copy of Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 a little while back and I'm eagerly anticipating my limited edition copy of Diamond Trust of London.

I've played Etrian Odyssey I and III and the mapmaking was pretty easy in those games. I think II is basically just like first game with a newer dungeon and some new classes. If you can find a copy of III you might be better off, which is a heck of a lot more balanced (both class-wise and difficulty), but otherwise there's no harm in starting it up since even complete used copies can go for $50.

My local Kmart is closing down and is having a store closing sale until September. Had lot's of good memories in that store, sad to see it go. But I got some good deals out of it. Everything was on sale, I did get some stuff other than games. So I go to the games section and in the bargain bins, I find Sonic Colors and Super Monkey Ball Touch and Roll. Both brand new ( Never seen Monkey Ball TaR brand new, it's from 2006 so it's probably been out of print for a good while now). Picked them both up for $25, two for one I guess, but $5 less. I'm just aching to tell what else they had, I'm not listing everything, just the things I remember.

Wii = Mostly shovelware, had De Blob 2, Animal Crossing, Fortune Street, Just Dance 1-3 and NBA Jam.
DS = Shovelware again, really nothing else besides Rabbids 2 and what I purchased.
3DS = Pitiful, they only had ( from memory) PES 2011, Rayman 3D, Shinobi, Bust A Move Universe and The Sims 3. They haven't been getting game shipments for months though. Funny thing is they had a sign for Pokemon Conquest but they never carried it in the first place.
PS3 = Nothing I can remember. Same for 360.
Vita = They had a tiny selection to begin with, Rayman, Uncharted, Deviants, Lumines and Dungeon Hunter.

I might go back since the prices will drop the sooner to closing.

My most recent purchase was Yoshi's Touch and Go. I already had the game quite a while ago, but I had the US version, so I decided to order another copy so I could finally play on my DSi. It's a really fun game collection, and I find is very much underrated. It uses all the DS' fuctions very well and manages to offer quite a bit of variety on the basic formula it creates.

Are buying pre-owned games safe?

Because I really want to buy a copy of The World Ends With You so badly.

Of course pre-owned DS games are safe, as long as they come with box and manual, I'll buy any game I find I like when looking in the preowned section at my local EB games. Where would you find a preowned copy of TWEWY though??? I've never seen it sold at retail in my country.

Very late on that Metal Max topic, had Metal Saga for PS2 (the only English game in the series) since it came out, but never got around to playing it yet. I hear it's a game that's a lot better with the hard drive, but I currently have a Slim.

But as to my latest DS purchases, a few new old stock games: Heroes of Mana (I suspect it's probably another travesty to the Mana series, but I better get while I still can get it new from amazon, and not worry about getting an ebay bootleg "new"), From the Abyss (I hear it might belong there, but I still bought it. Price seems to be climbing back up, don't know if that's good... or people confusing it with Tales From the Abyss?), and Okamiden.

I recently imported Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland to NA. So far, it's a blast. I'd say that it's one of the best DS games ever made! It shares many things with Zelda, but it's still incredibly different.
