Like the video trailer shows, the object is to fill a truck with a specific type of sheep, it then turns into a catapult such that you can launch the wool into the barn or hit the wolf. The sheep on the screen are always either plain or one of the types you need.

Two modes: 30 days is like a story mode (but no story told), and Non-stop is your arcade run. Sort of like a one-life fighting game where in story you take breaks between a pre-determined order of fighters, but in survival a new opponent immediately replaces. So they're pretty much identical, but the choice gives a good break. The infinite mode is my favourite.

In 30 days there's one to three trucks (catapults) for you to fill, in Non-stop there's always three.

Controls (stylus only) are fun to use, once you have a sheep, it's very easy to move it around to where you want. Tapping the screen on a sheep or anywhere causes all sheep in the proximity to scatter in random directions, this works well except sometimes I have to tap three times to isolate the sheep I want. It would be a nice bonus if sheep didn't get in the way of the catapults when you're trying to launch them, but that only happens occasionally and requires only the one tap to fix.

I think there's at least two game over animations, not including the boxing gloves one (which I'll assume is for finishing 30 days.) The music speeds up and is a great way to track when the wolf is getting close, and every tenth level there's an alternate song that reminds me of Chrono Trigger battle music. Sound effects mainly stay in the background but I think are well done.

Types of sheep are imo perfectly designed and balanced gameplay-wise. Games are challenging and quick though so possibly too difficult depending on the player.

Day 30 begins requiring three trucks of bald sheep, and ends up being a pretty dramatic final war
I think 20 minutes total to complete all 30 days.

Average game of Non-stop for me has been I think five minutes, but they're fun and seem longer than that.

I don't think you have to worry about strategy until you're used to the game. In 30 days, the #3 score of 200k seems reachable, but unless there's a large end bonus I'll have to figure out how to beat the 300k and 350k scores.

You could play for a high score, but I think it's more fun as a casual game where you just play for the fun of playing.

Overall I'm glad I got this game, it's short, basic and not epic in any way but it's obviously well-designed for a pick up and play game. Replay is good, but I don't think it's the addictive type that you'll play for 3+ hours in a row. I think I'll be occassionally replaying it for a long time.

Tips:

In 30 days, the wolf starts in the same place it ended the previous day. So if you just barely survive a day, the next day you'll only have five seconds to fill a new catapult and hit the wolf!

Try to grab the hardest to find sheep first, because when you take a sheep it's replaced by a plain looking one.

If you're getting confused, keep one truck full. Then there'll only be two+ types of sheep on the screen instead of three+.

Every ten levels in 30 days (10, 20, 30), I think there's a fixed number of trucks in each column. For example, if each column has four trucks, and you launch the middle one four times in a row, you'll have to complete the rest of the level with an empty middle column.

Day 30 I believe is the only time a truck shall require normal sheep.

I still need to figure out what affects how fast the sheep move, and what affects the scores behind the barn doors.

I got it to. Great game. The review is also up. I have yet to beat 30 day mode. I made it to level 23.

I know Artial mentioned he doesn't have an American DSi, so Artial, if you're still lurking these boards, two things:
1. As of around 5 minutes ago, QuickPick is currently #16 on the most downloaded games list here in America and climbing. Based on what I've seen before, the game's popularity shouuld peak in about 1-2 weeks.
2. IGN reviewed QuickPick and gave it a 6 out of 10. This sadly put it in the Skip It! section of their capsule reviews.

Other than that, I hope you're doing well.

Exactly.

Barn score is number of sheep in the ball of yarn multiplied by the level multiplier (level multiplier increases every X levels.)

30 days:
Level X (e.g. 26) is always the exact same, so that determines the speed of the sheep.
I recommend going for the hunter bonus in level 25 because the barn scores are relatively low here and the next few levels take longer.

Nonstop:
I think every ten shots (counted by the truck icon) the speed and level multiplier increases.
I usually get to about 70 trucks, give or take 5.

@Birdman13 This is kind of you! I'm not allowed to give sales number, it's not like we're getting rich, but that's okay for the moment.
@jdarrell and other big scorer : what about giving us your best scores ?

First off, IGN, perhaps the only other video game website that gives a crap about DSiWare, gave it a Skip It!, not Gamespot. Their main complaints were that it was too thin of a design and got a little less appealing of a design over time. From reading previous IGN capsule reviews, apparently 0-6 is a Skip It!, 7-8.5 is a Get It!, and 9 or better is a Love It!, with 6.5 going either way. The only other major DSiWare reviewer here in North America is Nintendo Power, so in about 2 months we'll get the final major score from them.

@Birdman13: sorry, my bad, i usually mix names up (the most common case is with "purple" and "orange", yeah i dont even know why), and it was a rhetorical question, you didnt needed to answer it
