In spirit tracks, the tower of spirits is it as hard and timed as temple of the ocean king or is it easier and more forgiving. I just beat phantom hourglass and it took forever cause of that timed dungeon, how is spirit tracks in that department, because I'm planning to get spirit tracks soon.

The Tower of Spirits is different. As you get to access more of it you don't have to go through the same rooms again. You can bypass the levels simply by running up stairs that just go past the rooms when its time to get to a new area.
Also I don't think it was timed. Can't remember off hand because it's been a while since I've played it but I don't remember that being an element of the tower.
