Does anyone know of any easy ways of putting music on a DSi? Does limewire work? I really don't want to use Itunes because that seems like a major pain in the butt to convert almost all my music into AAC format . . .

Well, the songs have to be in AAC format, so really the only thing to make it easier is to find a program that converts them in batches. I don't have any suggestions though.

iTunes is the easiest way to do it:

  • Create a playlist of the songs you want.
  • Ctrl + A
  • Right click
    -> Convert to AAC.

Itunes is free though.

Was wondering...(figured I'll just ask here)
Is there an easier way to...erm, how do I say this?...Increase the volume on the music itself? I have one soundtrack where you can hardly hear on the DSi with headphones...And converting the files to WAV so that Windows sound recorder can read it and increase the volume there is a pain in the butt, especially when the soundtrack holds over 200 songs, lol.

I think you can use the VLC media player to do this if i'm not mistaking. This is how I convert my music to listen to on my dsi all the time.

VLC, never heard that before? Is it free? Where do I find it? (and before getting this, is it possible to do it on iTunes? Since I have that already, wanna make sure before downloading an all new player and all that)

Yes, it is free. I don't think it's possible on itunes though. erm........there is a website called www.nchsoftware.com that has a wave editor app that can do this for sure! The only bad thing about it is that it is only a free trial that last for about 7 days. But, when it expires, you can uninstall and install it again. But....You might not like doing this over and over again, but it works.
