Topic: Professor Layton FTW!!!!!!!

Professor Layton nerds everywhere this is a thred where we can talk everthing about everyone's favorite tea sippin, top hatted, puzzle solving, person!!!!!!!!!!!!
we'll start by asking this qustion how many Layton games have you played really i've played 3/4 (or i guess 5 cause of mask of miracle coming soon) plus i own the Professor Layton Movie even though i haven't played last specter yet

I have solved every puzzle in the first three games. I'm hoping to pick up The Last Spectre at some point next year and solving all those

I've played and completed all four of the games that have been released in English in the US, and all three that have been released in the UK. I also own the film, as well as some bits of merchandise.

I find it pretty charming, myself. Probably not brilliant to a person who isn't a fan of Layton, but it looks and sounds beautiful, so I find it pleasing.

I have the first 3 games, and got the box file case for holding them free from Club Nintendo, which I thought was pretty cool.
But I'm mad that the 4th game didn't have the extra London Life when released here in England, so I don't know if I'll buy it or not. I'm pretty steamed that I'd have to import it. Though if I go back to the US next summer, I might pick it up then.

I have beaten all of the game and I plan on getting the movie. As of now thought I'm hesitant to continue the series on the 3DS because that would mean I actually have to buy a 3ds. Hmmmmmmm......

You're not missing much. It sucks we don't get it, but a fair amount of the missions are pretty tedious and aggravating.

One of my favourite series. Beat the first three and can't wait to play the 4th over the holidays.

I've 100% completed the first two and I've done most of the third one but I couldn't do the wi-fi puzzles because our internet connection has changed and DS games don't work with it. I would get the fourth one but while it is one of my favourite series other handheld games that were recently released/will be released soon take priority over it so I'll probably get it sometime next year even though it is annoying that London life isn't in it, Professor Layton and the spectre's call still looks like a fantastic game without it and I'd rather put up with not having that than put up with Luke's awful voice in the American version. I'll probably get the movie sometime after I've beaten the fourth game as it takes place after that.

can't wait for Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton it's going to be epic!!!!

Does the movie contain any spoilers about Last Specter? I really want to see it, but i should probably finish Last Specter if it contains spoilers.

The movie has nothing to do with any of the games. It's standalone to be sure, no spoilers at all.

It doesn't contain spoilers for the fourth game, but it does contain characters from it.

@Mariofanatic128 - why not go to a public place that offers free wi-fi to download the puzzles? It doesn't take too long to do!

@Katzii Good idea, I won't do that soon with Super Mario 3D land to play as well as MK7 and Tales of the abyss soon but I'll do that before I get professor Layton and the Spectre's call whenever that is.

i hope Mask of Miracle shows up at e3 2012 or sooner want my tea-sippin bad-ass in 3d right now lol!!! also they need to annouce at least which month Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright there to because that looks awesome at first i was like fail then i was like oooooo me want lol! XD

Aww, there are so few posts! Anyway, I have all the games, I really want the film, but I can't find the boxset anymore, does anyone know where to find it? I saw it on eBay once, but didn't get it. PAL please, shipping to Australia, thank you! Also I got a Lost future poster about four feet tall, got it from K-Mart when the game was out and about. Still my favorite game in the Layton saga.

I just really want Layton VS Wright. The art direction, the graphics, the story and everything... Looking great. I'm very curious to see how Miracle turns out, as well. I just don't see why they HAD to switch to 3D. It looks wierd and blocky in the Mask shots. I hope they are more like VS shots, and those are just bad examples.

Professor Layton, I love you, and your games are great, but...

Please, for the love of all things good and holy, enough with the sliding block puzzles. I hate them with a firey passion.

I've become addicted to the series over the last month, and I'm currently working my way through Last Specter. It's gonna suck when I'm finished and I'll have to start waiting for the next entry in the series just like everybody else.

Oh, I watched Eternal Diva today and thought it was quite good. They did a nice job of implementing puzzles into the story, which was my biggest concern going in.

wow good thing i don't have it yet lol maybe i'll get it for mah b-day also i enjoyed the puzzles in the movie the 2nd and 3rd puzzles were obvious lol
