JumpMad - Simple. Get Paperfield if you have people to play multiplayer with, or Aura-Aura if you don't. Or just get another points card and get both!

Thank Birdman
I went and Got Paperfield, since I really did't want Another Puzzle game, and Paperfield is a really good looking game.

I'm just now playing it, and its a Fast and Fun game, and the Music is really great too!
I needed more action games on my DSi, Thank again everyone

297, pretty sure I can do a lot better too. I'm a flag camper

I only play on crazy setting so I can only get about 190 right. Although I havent made it over 200 points that many times on the original game.

What map/character do you guys use to get your high scores? I got my highest score with Kat on Titan.

Does anyone find this game a bit too saccharine? It's probably my only gripe with the game.

personally my highest is with chuck at 213, simply brcause he is faster than all of the other land vehicals, even if he is difficult to steer when turning and sucks at jumping.

you say it because of the colorful rainbows and the omg so happy sounds?

also, my highest one is about 196 with the first car

Am i the only one who sees this?
on Titan, the light that surrounds you when you have the flag looks under the terrain, even the terrain at the distance blocks it, its not a critical error but it looks weird.

Yeah, the rainbow lettering and all the "joyful/playful", "happy to be alive," and "celebrate life" stuff. It made me cringe when I saw they included God in the credits.

Duh, obviously he uses the solar system, moons, little animals, nature and a lot of suff that is copyrighted by God.

And what a better way to celebrate life than trowing firecrackers to little animals from war machines?
... i just noticed, the credits arent translated!

I think the scoring is 1 point for hitting an opponent without a flag, 4 points for hitting an opponent with a flag, and 6 points for returning a flag to your base.

I think the difficulty setting matters too. Maybe. In any event, I'm happy to see so many of you are drawn into this. This was a good move on the developers as I think it just created more buzz about the original title as well (which, apparently, quite a few missed).

Things i want in a full sequel

~Wifi games
~Pirates Cove style capture the flag( where there are 4 teams and each team has everyone else flags, so to win youd have to first go to one team to take your flag from them, then the next, and finally th last team in which your team would then win.
~ A new team( like the magic shooters or Almost black you know?)
~ A map with obsatcles like cannons, tripwires, and other things that are simala to impede you from escaping the enemy.
~ besides the firecrackers, some new kind of weapon( not the missles, those would be a powerup still)
~More everything

Thats what i think should be in the sequel. what about you guys?

KnucklesSonic8

Agreed. And online = Awesome. I can see it happening.

I'm planning on picking this up if Shantae's 800 and gets a good review.

I think the firecrackers make it an instagib style game, can't think of anything else that would be an improvement. Maybe an invisible ninja character that slices opponents upon contact. The other team could have something like a pirate that turns into a ship firing three cannonballs from each side when on water

For a sequel, I'd just like to see a 3DSWare version of this.

I think I remember seeing Odenis saying they want to do a 3DS Pop Island... pretty soon after it was announced...

I think theirs a good chance that Shantae will be 500 because in a interview the developers did about that game said it will only be a 4-5 hour game. Based on the last two games ive bought from the shop,(X-SCAPE and Soul of Darkness), maybe they made a pretty good game that only takes up around 95 blocks or so that would fit in Nintendos 500 points worth of content limit. X-Scape is 125 blocks which is a 8 hour game and Soul of Darkness takes up 77 blocks and 4 to 5 hours to complete. Both which are pretty good games for their price.

on topic: Someone made a comment in this thread about having to get use to going back and forth between both screens to play. Im not sure if anyone has mention this yet but if you press the select button while playing a match the screens will switch(whats on top will be on bottom and vise versa). Not sure if that will help any but, maybe you may like that style better.

On thing ive notice about this title that different from the original game is you not able to use the touch screen to chose the map you want to play on. Only if the map is highlighted first then you will be able to use the touch screen controls to pick that map. Doesnt make any sense to me, but im I the only one that notice that?

Edit: Swtiching screens worked for the original Pop Island, but I have yet to try this in Paperfield. Hopefully they ported this feature over.

Re: Menu touch controls - I noticed too, but since it's only the map select screen figured they forgot to program it in.

Re: Select button to switch screens - Just tried it and it worked, thanks!

Oops, earlier I assumed the original has six maps. It actually has eight.
