Topic: Pokemon White Version 2 review discussions

Well the new Pokemon games (Black & White 2) come out in NA on Sunday so we are going to be seeing a flood of reviews of the two games. Here is a review from Gamespot. http://www.gamespot.com/pokemon-white-version-2/reviews/pokem...

How do you think the game will fare with other reviewers out there? I know it is only an opinion and many will still buy the game no matter how it fares.

GameXplain and Gametrailers got their reviews up as well. Having trouble deciding if i should watch the reviews now or play the game first before watching.

According to them it's them,they're the best Pokemon games ever.

But to me Heartgold is the best Pokemon game ever.

I'll be asking for Black 2 for my Birthday,being the last great DS game.

i say play the game then later read/watch the reviews so you can judge both at the same time and make your own opinion about it least thats what i would do cuz not all the time there accurate since everyone has there own opinion on whats good and whats not

No matter what anyone says, Pokemon is still Pokemon. I loved White even though none of my friends thought the Pokemon looked good.

i've got both copies on pre-order. don't care about reviews. being playing pokemon since i was 16

I will be getting the game regardless of the reviews Sunday. All the time I had invested in White, I feel obligated to see how the story progresses.

I decided to check out IGN's score. It's one of my favorite gaming websites and i usually agree with Audray Drakes review so i thought, why not. They gave it a 9.6/10

Also, Gamespot appearently gave it a 6.5. Raraly agree with them anyway.

Gamespot's review pretty much sums up why I wont be getting the game.

@Geonjaha i cant stand gamespot i never listen to there reviews i dont listen to reviews at all i play it my self to see what the big deal is

I cant afford to buy every game that might be good. Reviews help people decide whether or not a game is for them - and help evaluate a game without someone having to buy it just to know whether or not they'll enjoy it. I enjoyed Black/White much less than I have all previous Pokemon games, and this one looks like a lot of the same - my decision isn't based off one review; it's based on the fact that I know this game isn't for me.

I've read several reviews, ranging from the least to most favourable. I think I'll be picking up a copy of one of the games (I don't know which one yet, though) when it comes out.

While it certainly sounds to be more of the same for the most part, what additions there are are enough to get me excited for the new games (White was the first Pokemon game I'd played for many, many years). Hell, I got over 100 hours of play out of White, so for $35 I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Now to decide which version to get!

EDIT: Also, it'll give me a chance to finish off the National Pokedex up until the end of the DS iterations (although getting some of the older event Pokemon may prove difficult). That will satisfy the collector in me.

I'm excited for the Mass Effect Style "Your past decisoins will come about in the sequel."

I hope I can get it tomorrow. If not, hopefully Monday. If not, Wednesday. Ahh, who am I kidding. I've got to get it before the weekend ends.
