This has probably my favorite wild Pokemon battle music...I mean, for the most part it was annoying randomly running into wilds...(well, its still annoying here) but the music is just awesome here. xD

And yeah, the story thing isn't that long...but there's plenty of sidequests to make up for it.

Well, I played through Emerald until the 8th badge and it took me 35 hours. Same for Platinum.

Yeah the real meat of the Pokemon games is after you beat the game.

@abovepost: Yes, for sure. Seeing the credits doesn't mean anything in pokemon games (at least to me).

That's when I get a lot of playtime, too. I try to complete the Catch as many Pokemon as I can after that. But I'm just saying, I do wish the main game was a little longer.

Well, the last Gym Leader and all of its trainers has been defeated by an ice cream cone. :3
All that's left is the League, wish me luck. xD

Well I guess Final Fantasy isn't a game series you should be comparing with Pokemon then.

I was just saying that they were short for RPGs, commenting on someone else who said Pokemon games were 'long'.

Have I mentioned this is the best game EVAR.

Man, this game is FREAKING AWESOME. For once I find myself upset that there are only 6 party spots!

Yeah, that's gonna be the next upgrade...10 slots! xD (or 8...I dunno, lol)

Just got my 4th Bage, I'm mostly taking my time with this game,
I'm trying out meny type of pokemons, to see what will fit in my team.

This is my Team so far: Oshawott,Timburr,Darumaka ,and Yamask. All Lv30
I'm keeping them unevolve, just for fun or until the game get harder.

Yamask was a bit hard to train at first but, Mixings moves like"Will O' Wasp", and "Hax", made it a big sweeper!

Seven badges, and my whole team is finally fully evolved - Serperior, Zebstrika, Krookodile, Swanna, Stoutland and Garbodor. I wish Garbodor had more than one physical Poison attack... and that he'd learn it BEFORE Lv54. I'm considering boxing him in favour of that ghost candle thing, I forget what it's called.

I'm sure you guys been to The Driftveil Drawbridge.
There alot of helpful "Wing" like items there, may come in handy

Yamask, when evolved into Cofagrigus, can become helpful near the end of the Pokémon League. You'll have to fight a pure Electric type called Eelektross there. You can't exploit its only weakness, though, as its Levitate ability makes Ground moves useless, giving it no weaknesses whatsoever. If you let Cofagrigus get hit by Eelektross' attacks, however, it's Mummy ability turns Eelektross' ability into Mummy as well, negating the Levitate effect and rendering it weak to Ground-type moves like Earthquake.

I beat the league with only 3 losses. I had Rufflet on my team temporarily but it's kinda hard to train.

Carracosta Lv. 46
Samurott Lv. 51
Beheeyem Lv. 49
Pansear Lv. 46

Zekrom is on my team temporarily. Not that I don't like it; I really love this Pokemon but I don't like having legendaries or UBERS on my team all that much. It makes the game a little easier and I love challenge.

Time to hunt out the 7 Sages and explore Unova a little more

Ah, and I caught a Feebas Easy as pie.

It took me about 130 hours to beat the Pokémon League in Emerald. I enjoy doing everything I can do (and going back when I get new HMs) and catching everything I can catch before moving on.

Did it really take you THAT long?

I'm in no rush to finish the game that quickly.
I'm only 41 hours into it, and I'm on my 4th bage.
I been busy trying out all the pokemon, to see what fits well, in my team.
