If people of this generation think that some video game that a lot of people love worldwide is racist then sit down and think it over.

I'll be interested to see if this is a DS or a 3DS release.
To be this good takes AGES...

Well, if everyone's concerned it's racist, I guess they could go with Light/Dark...More Pokemanz for me to analyze and more base stats for me to remember!

You know, unless this is coming out for the 3DS this will be the first time two pokémon generations have been on the same Nintendo platform, unless you don't count the GBC as its own generation.

Its not so much that the game itself is racist, its the fact of the two versions, of white and black.

@Roopa - No need to call me stupid. That isn't my opinion but it is fact that if there is not a name change their will be an uproar in America.
Seriously? Uproar!? Over what :S...? I'm glad I don't live in America then. I really hope they keep the names for the english releases, as I quite like them. Honestly, if they change them just to appease complete morons I'll be pissed! God, what is the world coming to...
28. Posted: Fri 9th Apr 2010 14:46 BST
I seriously hope that it stays black and white. People weren't racist when there was a black and white DSi, so maybe they won't feel this is racist?

We survived this twice.
And besides, it's not like it's called Pokemon Black People and Pokemon White People.

Pokémon: Chicken Nuggets and Pokémon: Can't Dance.
Also I second what Machu and Panda said. They're colours, if you get offended by them then there's probably something wrong with you rather than with the games themselves.
btw the first line is a /joke/

I'm not offended by the colors, wished they could have thought of something a bit more creative than shades though. The point about the White and Black, is that racism still exists, and alot of it is based on color, that why a few if not some will be offended.
EDIT: Hoorah for JR, thinking the same as me.

No no, this is another brilliant marketing strategy from Nintendo. The only way you'll NOT be racist is if you buy BOTH. Brilliant!
I made Kid Tripp! PocketGamer gave it a 9 out of 10! You should totally buy it now!

It's not like Pokemon has never been accused of racism before:
The difference is that Jynx actually feeds in to old racial stereotypes in the US whereas Black and White are just shades. Nobody cared about Pokemon Red or Yellow having racist names either.
I agree the names could have been more creative, but I don't think it's remotely a racism issue.
36. Posted: Fri 9th Apr 2010 15:19 BST
I heard about the episode that got banned because of the stereotypical jynx. How is jynx stereotype?

Can't wait for the 3DS remakes genocidal white, lazy black and morally grey.
(everyone knows you can get away with anything as long as you put "j/k" at the end, or "no offense" in front)
