Am not buying the XL i keep my DSi and DSlight because the XL is too big i want a Handheld and not a such a big thing I hated the Gameboy because of that and upgraded it to a GB Poket as soon as it was released because it was smaller, and i don't care about Battery life because am going to buy a reserve Lion Battery in a few days
I kinda like the bigger screens buuuut no. I'm not going to buy a DSi XL. Especially if can't transfer my DSiWare to the new system in order to sell my DSi, heh.
Being unable to transfer does suck... but I'll buy the XL and if they release a super XL with even larger screens 6 months later I'll buy that one also, I don't care if the screens are 15 inches, that sounds good to me, I rarely ever take my DSi out anywhere.
Nintendo could set up some kind of easy DSiWare transfer service during the release period of the DSi XL. That would be the best way to invite current DSi owners to the XL. Otherwise... well, they aren't being very smart about it.
Still upgrading to a DSI XL and keepin my DSI some of the games i download wish i didin so now i can download games i want and my DSI ill give it to my husband and we can play some games together and i keep download games on my DSI XL. I love my DSI and it will be used.
I'd like to get a DSi XL eventually, especially since I own a Lite, but it probably won't be for a while (especially since I can't take full advantage of its features [i.e., DSiWare])...

I think the DSXL looks cool but how can you buy a new platform unitl you see Nintendos's E-3 (DS2!)
Rumour is PSP2 will not have a physical media disc - that is hard for me to believe. Nintendo KEEP OUR CARTS!!!!
If Sony abandons portable retail is that not more incentive for Nintendo to stay in retail?? Amazon and Walmart heart Nintendo!
I'd be surprised if the DS2 comes out in less than 2 years, we may not even heard anything at E3 and the DS2 screens most likely will not be as big as the DSi XL.
I would buy it if I could transfer my Flipnote data over to it and also DSi ware but it is just your lazy nintendo not letting you send the data but erases the data on the original dsi the games came from. Edit: The Dsi was just a scam so they could take money to then come out with XL.
That is TLinkerbell to you! [17:17] theblackdragon: considering i have neither an xbox nor a ps3 :3 [17:17] Corbie: Nintendo fangirl alert!!!! [17:17] James Newton: Uh oh The James Ne...
I don't really see a point in getting the DSi XL. If you have a DSi that should be good enough. Now if you are a collector then by all mean purchase it but if you are just playing the games then there isn't really a point. I say save your money for the next generation of handheld gaming by nintendo.
If I had a DSi I don't think I'd make the switch due to loss of downloads, but if I didn't have a DSi, this is certainly the one I would get. The larger screens are just great and I like the burgundy colour (got a matching case from play-asia.com). You can get super-cheap USB charging cables from Amazon (in the UK at least) which is a godsend for portable charging.

I was recently in Japan and saw the DSXL and it actually looks quite good in person. It is extremely thin, the case colours are very eye catching and the screens are nice and big too. If you don't have a DSi I would recommend it.

Nintendo is doing the same thing with the XL as Sony did with the PSP Go...just on a smaller scale. Either way it's stupid.
At least with PSN you can connect and disconnect 5 systems to an account, but heck that would be asking too much from Nintendo to have an online system that isn't balls.
