Topic: Okamiden available now???

I got a text from Gamestop today claiming my Okemiden preorder was available for pick-up today. I thought this was kind of wierd since I was under the impression that the game wasn't supposed to be out until the 15th. So has anyone else found Okamiden to be available or did my store break the embargo? Just curious is all :3 BTW, Awesome game so far! I hope I'm able to take it easy though until the 3DS launches. This game would be OUTSTANDING with the Circle Pad!

Yeah, I got it. It's really, really good. Probably the best looking game on the DS. I'm loving the Japanese-esque mythology too. Never played Okami due to not having a Wii, but if it's anything like this it might be worth getting one.

I've read on CAG that Gamestop was informed that the street date for Okamiden was lifted, so they could start selling them.

Why didn't they release this game for the Wii?? I really like Okami, and I'd love to play Okamiden. But, I don't have a DS and I don't really want to buy one. Maybe the price for the DS Lite will drop a lot once the 3DS is released. I'm just not really into handhelds, so I don't want to send $130 for a handheld system.

Great stuff, can't wait to play this (I've got it preordered, it launches here in the UK on 18th March, this Friday) as I absolutely loved Okami on both the PS2 and Wii.

I've got a few other games on the go at the moment though so I'll likely wait until my preordered 3DS turns up next week on 25th March before I start putting any serious time into it.

Hm, gotta see what NL says now...going to hold this one off until after the 3DS. Anyone have this game yet?

It's out?! Gah, now I'm torn between spending my money on Okimiden, the 3DS NYKO battery, or 3DS VC games. Help!

Pretty sure the VC games won't be out for a few months.

Go for Okamiden. You can always get the battery later, and I'm sure there won't be a large amount of VH games available for a while.

I've been reading that it's a sequel of a game called Okami. Is this game for the DS as well?

I'm currently playing through this and will be writing the review in the coming days, so you should see it this week some time.

I went to get it from my local GAME but they said it was only available on-line. This doesn't seem like a good sign from a sales perspective to me.
