I'm always up for a good platformer, but what I've heard about N+ was a little different than your Mario or Sonic affair. There's no story, right? And there's no bosses? Are there even enemies or is it just puzzle solving?

There are enemis but no way to kill them, its mostly platforming while avoding enemmies and their attacks. And yes it it very diffrent than mario and sonic. It is actually a a full version game of a popular flash game, I suggest trying out the flash version first to see if you like it before you buu the retail game.

Try the freeware version (known simply as "N") if you aren't sure. It's quite fun, but maybe not for everyone. N+ uses the same basic game play but with some extra modes tossed in. I liked the XBLA version for its multiplayer splitscreen, but I never played the handheld versions due to lack of interest.

Come on, friends,

Its great, tis pure platforming and it works great.

It isn't puzzle-solving, you just have to avoid being killed, while making your way to the exit.

Should you get it? Hell yes. It's an incredible platformer, but bewarned, it can be extremely hard. And yep, there's no bosses nor story.

QFT. Best summary of the game that I've found.

I liked the flash game N Ninja, I really should consider buying the handheld version. I think getting it is a good option.

I heard good things and honestly, I don't think it's amazing or anything.

Hell YES! I haven't played N+ yet (been meaning to get it on PSP/XBLA for ages), but I absolutely love the the Flash original. Getting it with extra features and portability is icing on the cake if you ask me!

There's no story, no bosses (from what I know), and you have indestructible traps instead of enemies.

For those who want to get N+, take this heed: do not fall down to the ground hundreds of feet from the air!

Sounds like a personal problem.

It's like $10 now I think.

Yeah, I got my copy for $10 two weeks ago at Wal-Mart. At that price it really is a must-buy.

Oh, silly irk. I didn't mean to make it sound that drastic. I apologize if I sounded overly drastic to anyone. I was talking about N Ninja's one way to lose a life.

Be forewarned, the level sharing and multiplayer features of N+ don't work anymore because the servers were shut down.

I had N+ on the XBLA and I really loved it. It's a game thats easy to play, but hard to master, and that to me equals total addictive gameplay. I think the fact that the DS version is portable and cheap, it's worth picking up...in fact, I may try and get myself a copy now that I think about it.

The original nearly failed me my A-Level in ICT D:

So yeah. It's very, very good. Easily manipulated too, with the level editor (in the original at least, haven't played N+). Spent a heck of a lot of time creating "thwump cannons" - if two back [unharmful] sides push together whilst the ninja is just inside the gap, he gets properly blasted across the level. And usually splatters on the wall/ceiling.
