Temperatures aren’t the only thing heating up this season as Nintendo celebrates the unofficial onset of summer with another round of red-hot game downloads. May has been an especially big month for the Nintendo DSiWare™ service, with notable recent releases such as Photo Dojo™, Frogger Returns and Metal Torrent™. This week’s additions keep the momentum going strong with awesome hand-held games like X-Scape™ and Hero of Sparta. X-Scape is developed by Q Games, the same team that created Trajectile™ and STARSHIP DEFENSE™. (Also, remember that Photo Dojo™ is available for zero Nintendo DSi Points™ through June 10. The game will require 200 Nintendo DSi Points for download as of June 11.) Of course, Wii™ owners have plenty to be excited about too: New offerings include a Ben 10 Alien Force adventure for the WiiWare™ service and the Virtual Console™ debut of a classic cowboy shooter from the Super NES™ era.

It’s also time to announce a new addition to the “Big Name Games” section of the WarioWare™: D.I.Y. series, which features downloadable microgames from some of the industry’s most talented figures. Created by Nintendo Power™ magazine staffer Steve Thomason, this week’s featured game, Revenge, puts an unusual spin on familiar characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. New “Big Name Games” will be added every Monday through July 26, all available to download for zero Nintendo DSi Points to anyone with broadband Internet access and a copy of either WarioWare: D.I.Y. for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems or WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase software for the WiiWare service. Visit the Nintendo Channel on your Wii system today to learn more about these games.

Birdman

It's kind of sad that X-Scape is 800 points, but I got another points card yesterday, so I don't feel guilty about getting Advanced Circuits and G&W DK Jr. yesterday. I'll wait for the Turvy review.

Exactly.

X-Scape looks interesting. I wonder if it's any good?

Birdman

Well, it (X-Scape) was developed by Q-Games, the developers behind Trajectile, Starship Defense and Art Style: DIGIDRIVE for DSiWare and Star Fox Command for DS and it's a spiritual sequel to X, the Gameboy game exclusive to Japan that was the precursor to Star Fox. Both X and Star Fox were designed by Dylan Cuthbert, who is now head of Q-Games. This should be beyond amazing.

Nice to VC not being ignored this week. Not interested in the title offered, but hey, any attention for VC these days seems to be a bleeding miracle.

Cause it is in the DSi ware games channel why do it mention Wii ware games? Oh well, thats not the point, the point is that these week great games are coming to the Dsi ware store, yahuuuuuuuuuuu!!!! Oh wait, I don't have points less , buahahaha

Man's worst enemy is laziness.

Birdman

Nintendo uses one press release/Nintendo channel update for each week's VC, WiiWare and DSiWare games. I don't mind much that VC and WiiWare are included mostly because I'd probably get at someone who posted the update w/o DSiWare in it on the WiiWare forum.

Exactly.

@hulklol: It doesn't matter. I chose to post it here but I could've easily posted it on WiiWare/VC board since it's welcome there too.

hahaha, yes how I have said thats not the point and it not really important, some people will be glad to see all the new games in one thread and don't need to look in other threads, so how I have said, thats not the point

X-Scape and Turvys look good.

No Rytmik yet, but Cinemax said that it's slated for US and JP release so no worries there.
