I still think the DS would've been the perfect time for a true sequel to Super Mario 64...perhaps set in Mario's castle in Mario Land, and having elements and twists of Super Mario Land 2 in it. That would've been pretty sweet, particularly if Wario returned as a playable character and there were secrets that he left behind when he squatted in the castle, and only he knew where to find them! But, it's starting to look like the next Mario game is to appear on the Nintendo 3DS...and knowing Nintendo, it'll be an enhanced remake of Super Mario Sunshine!
