Topic: Multiplayer games that are playable on a single DS system?

Hey, does anyone know of games that are multiplayer but only need one DS system? I have a DSi XL & already have the DSiWare 'Paper Plane' & 'Photo Dojo' for this multiplayer-on-a-single-DS ability but does anyone know of any others? I've done some searches but always come up w/ results consisting of single-cart-multiple-DS-systems games which doesn't interest me. Thanks for any help you can give

Dragon Quest Wars is a great one. Pretty sure you could play on one system, but it's been awhile. Maybe someone else can confirm that for me.

Also, Paper Plane has multiplayer? And on one system no less? I had no idea. You're talking about the WarioWare one, right?

Paper Plane in it's WarioWare form doesn't have multiplayer, no. But in the version they released on DSiWare it does. (Review with all the details here: http://dsiware.nintendolife.com/reviews/2009/04/paper_plane_d... ) I personally wouldn't recommend it for purchase though...

Right, I had that version, but I sold my DSi (hence why I can't double check on Dragon Quest Wars for you). I liked it well enough. Would have liked it a little more if I'd known about this. Oh well.

All of the Advance Wars titles allow you to pass the system pack and forth between each players turn, if I recall.

Yes I just did a little check & the two Advance Wars DS games do indeed offer one DS multiplayer gameplay, thanks for the suggestion

As for Dragon Quest Wars I couldn't find a site that would confirm if it had on DS multiplayer or not but oh well, Advance Wars does!

The DSiWare has a game called Mixed Messages. You can play with up to 8 different people on one DS at the same time.

Hmmmm... Just had a look at the game you mentioned but I don't think I'll be getting it. Doesn't seem to be my cup of tea

So is that it for games that are multiplayer on one DS? Surely more developers have utilised the ability to play multiplayer games w/ one DS...
