I have a theory that Luigi's Mansion and Eternal Darkness could be making an appearance on 3DS. I am basing this off of these two news stories and the fact that IMO these two games would be EXCELLENT in 3D.
Assuming the 3DS has GC level graphics, I think one, the other, or both of these games making their way to the platform is very possible. The way Luigi's Mansion was made would make it work VERY well for 3DS. Eternal Darkness had something called Sanity Effects and various other things that I think would also work well in 3D.
I would love to play Eternal Darkness, never got around to getting it.

@Ravage: i dunno. i hadn't either until recently, but i found it and bought it, and wish i hadn't. maybe i need to get more into it, but playing it was a chore. everyone raves about it, but the gameplay was so slow and archaic... it just wasn't a good experience. still, i've not played that much into it, but i've seen little reason thus far to play any more of the thing.
on topic: i'm perfectly sure the machine will be capable of running such games, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were launch titles ala Super Mario 64 DS.

Oh, ye of little faith. The DS was underpowered back when it was first released in 2004, and the PSP which was released not long after had graphics that were close to being on par with that of the PS2 (though textures and the like would had to have been compromised due to the more limited hardware).
6 years on, I'm almost certain that the 3DS will be able to produce visuals that are on par with the Gamecube, or dare I say, the Wii (though I doubt that Nintendo would be that bold =P).
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I will freak if this happens. It just seems like a great way to cater to hardcore gamers with the 3DS with these titles. I think Nintendo needs to try to get more hardcore gamers buying games for their systems by third parties.

Shame few Wii developers are that bold, rarely are Wii games better looking than GC games D:
I highly doubt the 3DS will be powerful enough to run even PS2-level games.
I think Nintendo would like to stick to their own party of used technology levels, this is a shared market nonetheless, and that exacerbates the situation (speaking on a business level). Plus, handhelds and home consoles are quite tough ones to be able to merge when it comes to levelling up.
