Companies don't want bootlegs, then they'll quit letting games go out of print during the consoles lifespan.
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
The initial print run of Tetris DS doesn't include the Touch Generations! logo, however the reissue includes it (alongside the reissue of Clubhouse Games).
I've wanted this game since it was first released, however, I've never been able to find it at a decent price (and now, I'd be lucky to find it at all). AU$45-$60 is obscenely expensive for a game of Tetris, particularly since I can play what's essentially the same thing for free on Facebook. I'd be willing to pay around $30 (prefeably less) for it, but any more than that is unjustifiable considering that I've bought games of greater length and value for much less.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I really had no idea it was that rare. I bought mine new in the UK in 2007, for the usual price (around 20-25 pounds?). It was a pretty old game by then wasn't it? (Or did the first WFC games come out in 2006? I forget.)

I'd imagine the Tetris license is a pretty difficult one to keep for very long these days. Unlike Mario or Pokemon, which Nintendo can keep printing as long as they want.

Looks like you don't know what you're missing here, Tetris DS is simply the best Tetris experience you can have on any system. The game is easily worth $100.

Can you explain what makes it so great? I'm not saying this in a sarcastic manner. If it's really a can't-miss game, I'll buy one before it disappears.
Wow and I heard the first Tetris game for NES is super rare because of a recall.
How did DS Tetris become rare.
Tengen's NES version was recalled because they sub-licensed an Atari computer port, without realizing the developer didn't have sub-license authority, and that Nintendo had exclusive US console rights. It is estimated about 50,000 copies were sold in the month between release and recall. (if I recall an interview on a website with the programmer right, they made about a quarter-million copies and took back about 80%)
I really just want to guess Nintendo's license for Tetris DS expired. I remember THQ complaining Tetris DS violated their license, but if it was still on sale over a year later, I'm doubting that was a factor.
@CharlieRod Does your copy play in a DSi? That would prove if it is legit or not. I guess it is possible a legit copy might not have the Touch Generations logo, but the picture on the Nintendo website has the logo, and the fake I got from ebay did not have the logo. Anyway, if someone is buying from ebay, I would make sure it has the Touch Generations logo to be safe.
Ya it plays on DSi. I'm not being a jerk... but like I said I got it at Target the day it came out.

Exactly, good job I didn't remember that... and good luck finding a copy. Had the same problem tracking down Plant Puzzle League...

Vulpix is kind of hard but not impossible to catch in silver but probably not as rare as in heart gold. I've got 3(and have ran into around 10, I don't always go around the area they are local to). I wouldn't mind trading, XD I've got to look at the rare list for silver and gold, I'll put my pal pad code in my forum signature.(I know this is off topic, Well back on to topic)
Gamestop.com has Tetris DS $44.99 (U.S.), I might get it^_^
If it weren't for all the pirated copies of Tetris DS out there, Tetris DS would no doubt be going for over $100 right now, because the price skyrocketed when it went out of print, but then the price actually dropped: http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/game/nintendo-ds/tetris-ds
@R-L-A-George Uh, Vulpix isn't catchable in HeartGold, Gold, or Blue. I think they have Growlithe in its place. You do know that you can't get a lot of Pokemon in the different versions and you need to trade in order to catch 'em all, right? That's part of the genius of the games.

I know but I have heard of unobtainables popping up, my friend had FireRed and has incounters Scyther once in a while but he can't catch it. I'd love to have a Growlithe and spinarack(spelling?). I'm glad I got silver, it has more of my favorite pokemon.
