Topic: Jump Trials (sequel to 10 Second Run) = Very disappointing!

I was a big fan of 10 Second Run, so I downloaded Jump Trials, but it turned out to be a huge step backwards in every regard. The super-tight controls of the original have become extremely finnicky and unsatisfying, the simple yet effective art style was replace by ugly polygonal vomit, and most importantly, the level design, which was outstanding in the first game, is completely bland and uninspired here, making the game feel like a chore in the 45 minutes it took me to slog through. Just a heads up for anyone who liked 10 Second Run.

Are you sure it's a sequel? I believe they have two different publishers (I'm not sure about who developed them, though).

Thanks for the heads up anyways. Coincidentally, I just dl'd 10 Second Run a few minutes ago, on a whim. Surprisingly, I've found it to be great fun so far (I haven't run into a fun DSiWare game before, besides Four Swords Anniversary, so I'm really happy with the purchase).

Thanks for the heads up. I like 10 second run so I was thinking of getting this after it came to Europe but I was unsure of how good it would be and it seems I was right to be suspicious of its quality.

10 Second Run is part of the GO series, and Jump Trials is published by G-STYLE, who also published GO Series Undead Storm. So there must be some relationship between them. Maybe this game was handled by a different team, I don't know.
