@ballistikboy: when I bought it, it might've been 29.99, is what i was trying to say. i'm not trying to say it wasn't the price you said it was now, a year later. :/

Sorry.. haha.. internet issues.. the page keeps reloading.. anyway, i wasn't saying i misunderstood you, i was gonna say something else and it messed up. sometimes game values rise when they aren't made anymore, like Tetris DS, which is now like $50 used.. which is insane...

I think that it's too high. DS games should cost $30, if not $20. Oh, and @StarBoy91, I've seen Chrono Trigger for only $20.

Huh. I could've sworn it cost more than that when I bought it way back in November/December of '08 at GameCrazy. Oh, well.

I wouldn't spend $5 on a Pokemon game, let alone $60!!!

For $40, no except for if the game is considered one of the greatest games ever and NOT just for the DS. For $35, only if it's a big name franchise made by a trusted developer (KH:358/2 Days by Square, for example).

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I just saw TWEWY (The World Ends With You) at Wal-Mart for $15 and there were tons of them.

(a) it might've been 29.99; seriously, i don't remember what I paid for it because i bought it last year.
(b) I didn't want to wait a year to play it, I wanted to play it last year, when it came out. Again, if it's a quality game and I have read multiple reviews saying it's good, I'll fork over the dough for it, but otherwise, i'll wait until it turns up used or something where I get it for less than initial retail price. :3

Agreed... I'm right there with you.

$40 is too much for most Wii games, so yea.

Come on, friends,

Infernape1000

I paid 35$ for Chrono Trigger on the DS, and It was worth it.

Cheap if you compare with Europe. The unfair exchane 1$=1€ makes the game cheaper in USA... Fun fact, really now 1'5$=1€, so you can get an idea...

Agreed. I bought it the DS version on day one, and it was well worth the $40 + tax, and with the mini-soundtrack to boot.

The only games I'll pay $40 for are from Square-Enix, and it's mostly because they are typically worth it.

Meh....all Square Enix is to me is a bunch of sequels to RPGs and Super Mario RPG.

i think it all depends on what kinda game it is and how good the game is for you
