Topic: Is anyone else passing on a DSi in favor of the 3DS?

I'm probably still going to buy the DSi XL when the price drops. Buying the first iteration of a Nintendo handheld is never a smart idea as history showed with the DS and GBA. Stockpile 3DS games instead, wait a year or two when Nintendo releases the next version of the 3DS when all the bugs and faults are worked out. Plus it might be cheaper to wait if the 3DS is over $200 at launch.

Despite trading in my DSi for a 3DS, I have no regrets. I would've spent the money on games anyway, and that would've been far less profitable in the future than my DSi is. 170 dollars is around 5 games. Those 5 games would go for 10 dollars each, leaving me with 50 dollars rather than the 70 I'll end up having with my DSi.

But yep, trading it in towards a 3DS. I have 130 dollars, so hopefully I have enough.
