Are the gyms similar to the previous generations' gyms, or are there any changes? Is there a Dark-type gym? How is the difficulty compared to the previous generations? Because I was curious if Nintendo ramped up the difficulty in Black/White.

What's the difference between Black Forest and White City? I assume one is a forest and the other is a city, but that's the limit of my knowledge.

I found Black City to be full of items. I heard White forest has rare Pokémon instead. I played the Black version in Japanese.

I havent played a Pokeman game since Blue and Red due to the fact that they all seemed like the exact same thing but with different Pokeman. Is this one just like the others or does it bring something new to the series (Besides different Pokemon0?

Every single game in the series brought something new. For one thing, all of the games bring new moves, new pokeballs and a new region (except for remakes, of course). G/S/C brought two new types, genders for pokes and player (in Crystal), a clock with certain events only happening on certain days/times (not to mention having evening/nighttime), happiness, shineys, pokerus and more. R/S/E brought Pokemon contests, weather conditions on field, double battles, EV training and IV breeding as we know it today, and more. D/P/Pt brought 3D rendering, NWFC, differences in appearance based on pokemon's gender, while HG/SS brought the Pokéathlon, and the pokemon follow you in the field.

Of course, there are so many changes in the battle system throughout the games that I didn't list here.

I heard this game doesn't have the VS Seeker, please confirm this as a lie.

I really wish I could, my friend. The same goes for the Battle Frontier, Safari Zone, Gym Leader rematches and more. The game felt unfinished to me. I wasn't really impressed. Particularly HeartGold/SoulSilver are just allround better.

@James_Newton: Thanks, that sounds cool! I didn't really like the music as much in the 3rd and 4th Generations.

Is it the best Pokemon on the DS, why wasn't it on 3DS?

How exactly does the attack "After You" work and how is it useful?

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Don't forget about the special defense stat, breeding (including egg moves), hold items, abilities, natures, the move deleter and move tutors, and the attack specific physical/special split. Now, we get seasons, reusable TMs, triple and rotation battles, battle animations for the Pokémon, a 3D perspective city, better online modes, more version differences, etc.

So, Black/White will be extremely different to anyone like you who hasn't played a Pokémon game since Red/Blue while retaining the core system of what's made and kept it so popular all these years.

The seasons are really nice. Hint: Catch a Deerling and see what happens when seasons change.

Ok thanks for the answer. I personally disliked them following you anyway.
Another question: Do you find that mole pokemon early on in the game?

The annoying health alarm...Is it still there? lol
I hope they took it out, cause I heard that the music changes when that happens.

I think it's still there, but it beeps along with the music and the music changes to a more suspenseful tone, so it's not annoying anymore.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Wow, you're gonna have a lot of questions.

But do you have a plan on who's gonna be on your team? If so, which Pokemon are they?

Is this a signature?

Music wise -- is it similar or different than the other Pokemons? The towns and such -- how do they feel? Are they 3D type like the trailer shows?

How does the IR connection for battling and trading work? Is it difficult to maintain a connection?

Also, how big is the Unova region? I know it has the fewest routes of any Pokemon region to date, but from the maps I've looked at it still seems pretty big. Are the routes between cities a decent length? And how varied are the cities?

Finally, just a personal opinion of yours: what's your favourite new Pokemon so far?

OK to make this easier to keep up with I'm going to delete posts that aren't specifically questions or requiring replies, otherwise I'm never going to be able to answer.

Also, please bear in mind I've only had the game since Saturday, I have two jobs, a wife and other things to do, so I have not completed the game yet! Also remember that the game is not released in the UK or US yet so I haven't been able to test connection functions like infra-red, wireless, online or video chat!

Please do not get frustrated that I haven't got far enough to answer your questions!

@tristenj1992 Haven't got any triple battles yet. Wild double battles happen in dark grass though, which is cool. Will update this when I get triple battles.

@Deegan714 Yes, you can trade with older Pokémon games after reaching a certain point. Video chat uses the DSi or 3DS internal camera, yes - can be done locally or online.

@Sakeraf Looks like Black might be the least popular judging from what I've heard from other players. Flip a coin though, might be a good way to decide

@bboy2970 Yes, I've played them all. Feels a lot newer than D&P, having all brand-new monsters during the story is a great idea and there are enough new moves to recreate that feeling of "oh, I have to learn about this". Same goes for evolutions etc.

@Doma As Rensch says, no VS Seeker in this one.

@LuigiTheGreenFire 'Cos 3DS isn't out yet.

@Bulbasaurus Rex Haven't used that move yet, sorry.

@turtlelink Which mole Pokémon is that?

@BellGoRiiing Yep, the health alarm is in there, but now it changes the music as well which makes things a little less annoying.

@007 Just whichever one's the strongest, of course

@SphericalCrusher Music is similar but different tunes, if that makes sense. Towns are 3D but it's still from that same fixed viewpoint for the most part, but you can now enter a house FROM THE SIDE (YES!!) which flips the viewpoint to show you walking in. Not a huge change but a step forward.

At first I thought you said you had two wifes.

Even though your only at the second gym, what kind of puzzles are we expecting?

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
