Topic: How do you get Club Nintendo coins for a DSi?

So, the other day I thought I'd try registering my DSi into Club Nintendo to see if it had already been registered. I entered my DSi's serial number, and it had never been registered, but I didn't get any coins from it. After registering it it gave me a list of things I can get coins from, and DSi was on the list. The only thing I can think of was that it came with a separate Club Nintendo code for coins, and that I just gave it to my brother back before I had my own account. Does anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong?

You don't get coins from serial numbers, just the CN codes inserted with the system/games.

If the system itself came with a Club Nintendo insert, you have to use that.
