A real chat conversation.
I actually have a gigantic folder on my bookmarks bar filled with YouTube Poops.
None of you have played these games. None of you are basing your opinions on anything other than Youtube videos showing no gameplay. None of you will offer any actual opinions, just endless quoting from said youtube videos and parroting the non-opinions of others who haven't played the games either.
There, thread summed up in advance. No need for more posts.
@Adamant This isn't an opinion thread. No one made any claims as to whether they played the game or not. And why can't we make opinions on cutscenes? Who said those are "non-opinions" anyway? If you don't like this thread, leave it and let us chat.
The only problem with this thread is that it's in the wrong section.
I have seen gameplay on Zelda and it doesn't look very good at all. It also would not benefit from 3-D.

Mah bois, I'm so hungry, I could eat an Octorok for dinner!
...you've got to be kidding.
But yeah, I've seen Link trying to pick up a key, and it just would not register him picking it up, even though he was walking all over it. Cut scenes are terrible as you all know, and the last boss battle is not even a battle.
Believe it or not I used to own both Hotel Mario and Link: Faces of Evil. Yes, amazing I know but I did own a CDi.
To be fair Hotel Mario actually was damn fun and had some really solid (dated by today standards) game play and a ton of fun stages making it a true mix of the classic arcade game Elevator Action and then a mix of Mario Bros arcade with a splash of SMB4(Mario World.)
Zelda though mostly was rightfully panned as a turd. The talking/cartoon sequences were well, I just won't go there but they were wrong in so many ways. The play control of the game was ok though, it just played like Zelda 2 on the NES but with its own set of weird weapons is all. The zones were fairly small, and you had to pop back and forward a few and play a bit deeper getting new items to go farther like any Zelda. I'd say it was borderline poor-average, not fantastic at all, but it was a playable diversion worth at least one try for a few minutes or so once things get rolling, but I wouldn't pay for it.

I wanted this as a second post. I didn't play the other two but demoed them at least. Zelda: Wand of Ghameleon was just Faces of Evil but you played as Zelda to save Link with the same basic stage design and bad cut scenes so in that way it was unique. The other Zelda's Adventure was more 'high-res' for the time, but also was more traditional as it was a top down view title where you whacked away at stuff like the original NES game many since, but again you played as Zelda and it had real actor cut scenes which still were about as shoddy but laughably so.

Guys! I really need your help! Someone on a Dutch eBay clone is offering Hotel Mario in mint condition for €20. Is that a good deal? I don't even have a CD-i, but apparently they aren't that expensive to get. I'm a Nintendo collector, so I will keep it (at least at first) if I buy it. Is it a good deal? Should I get Hotel Mario for that price?
Ok, so not only is there Hotel Mario for €20, there's also Link the Faces of Evil for €45. Once again, I don't know whether its a good deal or not. I know the games are rather rare but I feel they aren't as valuable as they once were (or as I once thought they are). So once again, is that a good deal? Would you guys recommend me getting either of them?
EDIT: OK, now there's a guy offering it for 17,50. Considering how prices are around 50 on eBay, I'm probably getting it for that price.
So how did this 6-year-old thread get revived again?
@SSBMarioFan: Easy! I had a question about the value of these games, and saw there was already a thread for them. So I asked my question here instead of making a second threat. Do you happen to know anything about the value of these games?
I bid €10 for Hotel Mario, but for €20 total it's mine. Is that worth it (I'm a semi-active Nintendo collector)? Is that a good deal for Hotel Mario specifically? And no, I don't have a CD-i system (yet (they're actually rather cheap)).
Hotel Mario has a bad reputation but for the CD-i platform it's not too bad. 10 to 20 euro for a complete copy seems reasonable to me; they're not that easy to find "in the wild". I bought mine for 1 euro but that was after searching through stacks of fleamarket rubbish for many years.
