The first 2 Golden Sun games were my favorite GBA titles, I love them to death! So if Dark Dawn is anything like them it will be the one of the best DS games for the system!
Yes, Golden Sun Dark Dawn is turn-based, just like it's predecessors. I have to admit, the video footage of this game just continues to look amazing. Should be here next week and I'm going to be all over it when it arrives!
So jealous of Corbie right now (well, always am when he gets those early review copies and usually some sweet swag.) I was happy last night at Gamestop when I traded a bunch of games in and pre-ordered quite a lot, and had JUST enough to pay off my copy of Dark Dawn...Seriously, can't get over the fact that this series is back, seems like FOREVER since I last played Golden Sun.

never heard of this game until today, until I saw it on club nintendo's "intend to buy" feature. looking forward to a review of this because I definitely need to learn more.

Well looks like this will be a good game for you. I have heard of Golden Sun, but never played it so it will also be my first Golden Sun game.
I'm probably gonna give Golden Sun DS a try somewhere down the road (probably the same time I give Dragon Quest IX a try...in 2020), despite not liking the first. Ironically, the only things I disliked were the very beginning (which turned me off the story entirely, and when that happens, my interest rarely comes back. The only exception was with Final Fantasy IV, and I still can't explain that one. Probably because it was still sort of difficult and charming), and of course the utter lack of difficulty and very little need to grind. The encounter rate was also annoying and I didn't care for the puzzles either, but I could've gotten over it if there was a good reason for me to care. Seriously, all GSDS needs to do is up the difficulty and tell the story better, and I'll have no quams about playing it.
