Last night I finished Sands of Destruction; a games that screams of ambition, but fails to deliver on almost all of the necessary fields. The frequent random encounters and non-existеnt linearity kill it, and the decent soundtrack and great story can do little about it. All in all, an average, if not even monotonous, experience. Also, too short for an RPG (completed it in 17 hours).
Just finished Dementium The Ward, and this so happens to be the first M(ature) game I've beaten. Once again, the DS provides another first, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience of wandering the wrecked, eerie halls of Redmoor Hospital. The game has a near constant dark atmosphere, partly due to the similarities of the rooms and cooridors of the hospital, and while that can be argued as repetitive I think it is a great aspect of Dementium to have maintained a rather high level of atmosphere throughout. There is a fair amount of ambiguity in the story, much of which has to do with the potential of nearly all of the game's events taking place in the mind of William. The game clock says 4 hours, but I know I've played it for around 5 hours due to repeating sequences due to death. It's at a good length for a handheld experience, did not drag, and I'm looking to replay it after I complete Dementium II. Overall, a great Amazon investment.

I finally finished Professor Layton and the Last Specter last week, after playing it on and off for the past month or so. Now I'll just have to wait for Mask of Miracle to get my Layton fix, like everybody else.
Chrono Trigger... good grief, all this media speculation of "the death of the JRPG" ... not a chance in hades, ..
I've played through my fair share of RPG's in my time (western and eastern) and this is going into the top 5 without a doubt, if the DS back catalogue is chocka with more titles like this then the 3DS titles may have to wait for now
And now its back to the courtroom with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All after a small recess.
That just made my day
Lol thanks. When I was typing that up it just sudden came to me I guess I watch a bit to much of Law & Order lol. However I guess I should have said a long recess cause I still havent got around to that game yet cause I keep getting other games.

Just finished Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. Surprisingly good game. I've had more fun with this than any other Dragon Quest game, including 9. It had it's share of problems, namely the fact that it can sometimes be very difficult to find out where to go and what to do, which kills the game's otherwise brilliant pacing, and the final boss has a rediculous amount of forms, which makes him more tedious than hard; but it was still very good and its strong points made up for the bad. I really enjoyed exploring the game world and found the events in this game to be very memorable, and the afformentioned pacing really helped it stay interesting the entire time. For what was an NES game, the story was actually kind of impressive. The music, graphics, and gameplay were alright. Nothing amazing, but they still added to the overall charm. All in all, I'd say this is my favorite Dragon Quest game by far so far.

Also just finish The World End's With You... although... Pin mastery at 100%?... no, me neither xD
Professor Layton and the Curious Village, what a marvellous mix of storytelling and puzzles... had me stumped many a time, a game that requires some gasp actual thinking! can't wait to pick up some of the later titles but curious... are the puzzles consistently good throughout the series??
