Excellent. Just wanted to confirm that. Was afraid that you needed to choose beforehand what your reaction would be to the numbers. Sounds like I'd enjoy it, especially with 2P Mode (I think recall playing it in G&W Gallery 2 on GBA many moons ago and I really loved that game). Thanks.
Ironic how these games come out the day before I find Game & Watch gallery 4 for $3.99 at a local game store.... Glad I got G&W Gallery 4, it's very fun and got over 1000 on classic Donkey Kong 3 (on my first try!) then I stopped and let my person die, but I could have gotten farther, I just wanted to break 1000. I hope Nintendo releases all the rest of the G&W series on DSiWare, not sure if I'll get any of them though since most would probably be on G&W Gallery 4 because I haven't unlocked all the games yet.

Hey, irken, an excerpt from IGN's capsule review for Judge reads like this: "It's all entirely random -- based on whatever combination of digits decides to appear -- and success or failure will almost certainly be determined by pure luck rather than any kind of skill or strategy."
This true? The numbers that appear randomly isn't the issue because that makes sense to me. It's the input part I want to clarify. Is it "pure luck" if you have really slow reflexes or something? Care to elaborate?
I am simply loving these retro releases... "Chef" seemed kinda boring at first, but after repeated zombified plays, I am quite diggin' it. Also, "Mario's Cement Factory" is a little stressful to play, but I love the mechanics of the game, I can see why it was popular. "Judge" is another creature altogether, but the sheer random funness of it won me over within seconds. I think the Game & Watch Gallery games are terrific. Does anyone know how many of them there are? I do own the Club Nintendo "Game & Watch Gallery", it only includes three games on that cart, though, too. (And I don't think they're as fun as these that were released this week.)

I did download these last night. I went back in time as I tried Chef. I must admit that even when these types of games were new, I was not too impressed with them, but for nostalgia's sake, I did get them - darn you Nintendo!

And odds are more of these will be coming.
If you're looking to be 'impressed' with a handheld game from 1983, you really need to change your point of view... These games were the start of everything we know today, and I simply love playing them... I have a feeling alot of people (kids) aren't going to "get" these G&W games, but the rest of us are in Nintendo hog heaven

Well, the card numbers are randomized, so if the player had abnormally slow reflexes then yes, it would be based on pure luck. But personally I don't see slow reflexes being a big problem. They start out by giving the player about 1/4 or 1/2 a second to decide to whack or dodge, which is a good amount of time.
@grumble_grumble: I meant that 9 or 10 have been confirmed to have appeared in Japan, so we'll be getting all of those. @irken004: Thanks for clarifying. I have fast reflexes anyhow but that review got my second-guessing the game a bit.
Likely, actually, considering the first batch came out two weeks ago. DK Jr., Flagman and Ball would be the last ones. (Hope there's more in the future, though.)
