Topic: Game and Watch High Scores

So Im putting this in DSiWare as the game Im currently playing for a high scores is on the DS Cart you got last year for getting a Gold Status from the Nintendo Club.

My current high score is 792

Twin Galaxy has the highest score they have verified as 910. I WILL beat this and send in my video of it to hold this recored SOON!

New high score is 1044. At 999 the score glitched to 0 and I played the next level and purposely died thinking my score reset, but then it showed my score of 1044. It's on now. I'm going for 9999 on Video.

I did beat the record on New Super Mario Bros. Minigames (Wanted!) but someone topped mine. ....And I never recorded it.

@Sylverstone.... well I know that my 1000 score is enough to really make a impression and I CAN get it way higher. In the next few weekends after I get the decking around my pool finished being built Ill have the time to sit for a couple hours and film it. Im going to drop a little marathon here and there. I did play this alot as a kid and I actually enjoy the Game and Watch version over the NES Donkey Kong. I just really like it for some reason. Im going to get the 9999 and see if the score counts higher, if so Ill be going for a LOT higher and a LONG Marathon on film lol.

Then on to Game B, wich is significantly tougher, wich in just a few tries last night I got to around 700

I got a huge score in Manhole (GBC Game & Watch Gallery) but I forget what exactly it was.

First time I'd played manhole in some ten years, and I got 1150 points. I'm gonna keep at it until I get over the 2000 again.

God I love Manhole.

Would they even accept your score. I thought they were pretty strict about it being on original hardware. At least that's what I gathered from King of Kong.

sykotek... Im not sure about DSiWare on there. I would like to see the people who have the games on DSiWare post them here as we can all challenge high scores on eachother. Inspiration to push harder and make the best out of these fun little 200 pt games.

@mingy.... nice, That's my plan to do on Donkey Kong. I've got to find my G&W Carts it do some downloading. I'm rebuying Mario Cement Factory for sure...

Game A- 497(stop playing this mode after I finally made it to 300 points without getting hit)

Game B-577(very slowly I increase my high score)

So how are you guys doing with this one?
And for anyone who is great at this one, in the help menu it says when you reach 300 points your misses will be cleared. Is that for every 300 points you get or just for the first 300 they will clear your strikes?

@cheap.... on donkey Kong, not Jr. At 300 pts u get s extra man and if you do it with no lives lost your score starts doubling. I'll post my new dk high scores as. I know my Game A is around 2500. Is DK JR fun? I'll grab that one this weekend.

@ slaphot82- I knew before I DLed DKJ I was gonna like it as its the only Game & Watch game I remember playing as a kid. Since I missed out on the Game & Watch Series I figure this would be the perfect title to try some 20 years later. I didnt know I was gonna like it as much as i did because after playing this one because im thinking about DLing another of theses games. Im not sure if I would have as much fun with any of the others though. I like this one cause its all about speed and timing when it comes to saving Donkey Kong. Its very additive when the game really gets going at full speed. Trying to time your jumps so youll get maximum damage with a single piece of fruit takes some getting use to but its not impossible as it seems like from the beginning of the game. Defiantly the best 200 NP's Ive spent all year.(I guess thats saying a lot since I also bought Escapee Go! and Touch Solitaire which are good games as well.)

I got 424 in DK Jr. on the original hardware.

I just got an 853 in Vermin Game A DSiWare Version. I wanna top 999 by tomorrow.

Also Slapshot you can get DKjr. on DSi or 3DS for cheap. I'd recommend it

Vermin is my favorite of all the G&W titles. Its still very playable despite its simplicity and can get very frantic as you keep playing. I'd say its more fun than the modern GBC remake.

Vermin is one of the many Game & Watches that tests your reflexes and I'd prefer doctors use Game & Watches to test reflexes instead of those stupid rubber hammers :l ( Also I brought up my Game A score to 1373 and I am so proud). I have gotten to the point in this game where I can go over 1000 points without getting a miss. Also got to 999 on Game A Helmet DSiWare version ( So close because I was about to get in the door when a wrench knocked me on my head ) But yeah buy the DSi Ware Game & Watch games. They include Ball, Flagman, Vermin, Judge, Helmet, Chef, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario's Cement Factory, and Manhole ( The last 3 are the New Wide Screen versions).

If Nintendo Wanted to release Mario Bros., Rain Shower, or Lifeboat on DSiWare or Game & Watch Collection 1 or 2 (and maybe 3) they could've made the right screen the bottom screen and the left screen the top screen instead of that strange thing they did in the Game & Watch Gallery series.
