I think Nintendo is busy working on the 3DS to care about us DSi owners. I don't really care, but I do hate how it says an update is available and when you try to get the update it turns out that you are already up to date.

Yes, and do you have any idea why? Anti-piracy doesn't help. So I guess there won't come any anti-piracy updates. The only thing these updates can do is add some useful things to the system menu. But since it looks like there aren't any useful things they can add, I guess there won't be many updates. As a side note: The Wii had an update every 4 months last years, so don't expect the DSi to have updates more often.
