So, about that, thing...you know what I mean right? The DSi photo sharing through Facebook? It's actually not a bad idea, but how's it gonna be pulled off? Will there be a system update or something? I don't have a Facebook, nor do I really want one, but nobody has really been talking about it around here, and I didn't think it was a bad idea from Nintendo, so what's the verdict? Good, so-so, or a terrible idea?
as long as it's free... i mean, it's not anything I was really clamoring for, to be honest, and i'll still have to re-save my pics to upload to myspace afterward, so whatev'.

well, i'll probably be using this since i have a facebook (as well as myspace, youtube, aol, etc.) and this is probably the 2nd most surprising thing i heard about from Nintendo's conference (1st goes to.....Vitality Sensor!)
it'll most likely arrive in the form of a DSi system update, and i'm almost certain that it'll be free
ugh, i just want my Flipbook- Notepad thingy already! (i'm sooo eager for it that i forgot what they renamed it!)
Interestingly, I was just looking around on Facebook the other day on the DSi, trying to figure out if I could upload pictures. I'm looking forward to this update!

I agree with "irken004", it would be cool to upload straight from the dsi, BUT right now all i want is Flipnote Studio to come out already too...

Hmm, I think it's kinda interesting that everyone's going on facebook now, especially Nintendo. But dunno if it's that useful if you just can upload pictures with it ... that's something I can do with my phone too and I don't need a WiFi access point for that. But hey, I don't complain if they add features free of charge
This is great news; I have a Facebook account, but don't really use it often, but I'm more interested in the implications; this means that photos or conceivably any files on the DSi can, technically, be uploaded directly to various services, so long as Nintendo or the other party is convinced of the widespread desire to do so. If this app works well, and if there is enough demand out there for other sharing options or custom apps for various services, I can see the field expanding over time. Why not have a dedicated all-in-one Twitter app for the DSi, for instance, including Twitpic functionality? Or anything else that might be useful to a large number of owners.
Good news, good trend, hopefully the DSi will continue to expand its compatibility with various internet services.

and if you do just upload the DSi pictures directly off the sd card to FACEBOOK they are some times a crappy resolutions, i'm interested and seeing if the quality is any better through this! =p
I've had trouble getting facebook to work properly on the DSi, and I've also read that there are general compatibility problems. Something I just thought of though ... how about using the mobile phone version of facebook? It's m.facebook.com and it's specifically designed to work on mobile devices that can't cope with the full site. Haven't tried it myself yet but I'm about to ...
