Topic: Earthbound for DS?

I don't know if anyone already did this already (I'm still kinda new here) so if someone did then this can be closed. This is my first time making a topic thing so tell me what you think. I don't see this as a bad idea so why not? I think it would be a really good remake.

Welcome to the site Cryptonic! I think it would be awesome to see Earthbound on DS! I think that Nintendo would probably release it on DS before they would on the Virtual Console because they would get more money out of it. I just want the chance to play Earthbound again but I'm not getting my hopes up.

While I don't know where it was posted but it has been cited many many times before by the folks at Starman.net and Nintendo of America that they have had no plans at all to release or port the Mother series in the US. The group that spear-headed the fan translation of Mother 3 even approached NoA about releasing the translated version and were denined the honor of doing so even when they looked for their own publisher. It's a shame yes, but it is something people need to get over with. It sold very poorly on the SNES in the states and only holds a cult following to this day. If you really want to play it, just find the ROM on a torrent site or something. And if you really REALLY feel guilty for downloading Mother 3, then you can download it and find a site like yesasia.com or play-asia.com to import it so you actually paid for it. Sorry, but thems the breaks.

Screw remake. Make a new game. And all 3 mother games remade and then put together for ds would be a good idea.

Even if nintendo were that nice to us, they would be nice to Japan first.
