You can use this database to find out if a game has issues with the following features: Left-handed. Colour-blind. Shoulder buttons.
Columns have also been added for the NintendoLife rating, release countries, and active wifi. Used the North America names because Europe has less games.
So if you have questions, ask here, someone shall likely answer. Then I can update the database, or since it's public, anyone can update the database (the edit button is at the bottom left.) I'll make a small update and backup every week.
Example, I'd like to know if any of this weeks games require the shoulder buttons? But if you can answer all the questions, that would be even more helpful.
Some of the data may be incorrect, due to human error, copy/pasting from Wikipedia, and subjective answers (guesses).
All the best!
Update 1 Lefty/Colourblind Option?: N/A: No option necessary. Yes: Has a menu option (or built in feature). Maybe: A mild inconvenience. (For games such as Mighty Flip Champs that don't have mirrored buttons, but have limited enough use of either the buttons for the stylus to work.) No: Unplayable design. (For games such as Base 10.)
Update 2 DSiWare released in the last two weeks --in either North America or Europe-- are now highlighted in bold.
23rd April 2010 (Europe) Earthworm Jim | Flipper | Game & Watch Ball | Game & Watch Donkey Kong Jr. | Game & Watch Flagman | myPostcards
26 April 2010 (North America) DodoGo! | Don't Feed the Animals | Ferrari GT Evolution | Puffins: Let's Roll | Scrabble Slam! | System Flaw Recruit
30th April 2010 (Europe) DodoGo! | Save the Turtles | Simply Solitaire | Surviving High School | VT Tennis
(This is my first time making one of these, so hopefully I'll have the basics fixed by Sunday. Let me know if the link works, and all feedback and help is appreciated.)
You'd have to guess; it'd be easier for someone who's colourblind to tell. But for example, Glow Artisan and Pop Solo have colourblind modes where you can use shapes instead of colours.
And yep, there's supposed to be zero requirements to edit it.
Great. This will probably stop those people who always ask "Does this game use shoulder buttons? Mine are boken".
....Now that I mention it, why don't those people get it fixed for free by Nintendo?
I'm pretty okay.

Colorblind-friendly is pretty easy to spot, IMO. If there's ANYTHING in the game where you NEED to see what color something is, isn't not colorblind-friendly. Dr. Mario Express? NOT colorblind-friendly due to the need to differentiate red, yellow, and blue to play. Puzzle League Express? Yes, because of the symbols. I'd edit those two, but I can't on my PS3 browser.
Also, as a lefty, I'm VERY grateful for the existance of this sheet. That is...once more lefty-friendly spaces get filled. Even now, I wouldn't have known that Art Style: Code doesn't have a lefty mode were it not for this list. Thanks!
Thanks, Bobpie! Okay, so...somebody listed Dr. Mario as non-colorblind-friendly, but didn't list Puzzle League as okay yet. Also, I can confirm that Art Style: PiCTOBiTS, Bird & Beans, and Paper Plane Chase are all lefty-friendly. The entire Clubhouse Games and Brain Age series should be as well, since their retail counterparts are. For that matter, same goes for Puzzle League and Dr. Mario. Sorry for having to give suggestions for others to implement here. If I had the ability, I'd gladly deal with it myself.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
